Love Maria Chetkareva! Have several puzzles with her artwork, including this one and a Halloween countdown calendar! I've definitely been eyeing up the other diamond painting with her art on Oraloa (and their puzzles too!). The pixel art seems like those flat lego pixel kits. Looks like fun!

The pixel art reminds me of perler beads. That you put on trays similar to that and iron to melt together.

You're killing me, I've never tried an Oraloa, but it's on my list now! 😂 As far as the Pixel art, that's a negative for me, reminds to much of the battleship days, hahaha. However, I do have the cross stitch conversion Advent calendar on order, so that will be something new for me to try!

Wow, that pixel project is really different than what I expected from their website for some reason. A little bit more complicated, but also intriguing. I just started on "Time to Witch" from Oraloa, but in squares. I think you completed the round version (maybe a couple years ago now?), and so far I'm loving the quality of the square diamonds from Oraloa. The color palette is literally ALL the purples, which just makes me so happy. The fit, consistency, and quality of their squares is beautiful from what I've seen so far. I hope you have fun exploring the new pixel art you chose. 🥰

I went and ordered a pixel hobby kit before finishing the video. It won’t replace diamond painting but it looks like it might be a good alternative when I don’t want to do the whole setup with a large canvas and light pad and trays and tiny drills that can spill everywhere etc etc.

It's a hard 'no' for me on the pixel art, I'm afraid. Far too much faff for my liking 😵‍💫 The Oraloa piece is beautiful though, and will certainly keep things interesting with the mix of intense confetti and large chunks of blocking. Very nice 😊

I just section mine off with a Sharpie instead of washi tape. I just cant stand to waste the tape.
