I love the Lion! The scarecrow pop reminds me of a doll from It’s a Small World, probably a doll in Germany, the pose, the face, the hat just seem to be all wrong! The Witch and the Tin Man are both surprisingly very well done, but not my favourite. Looking forward to part two! The mall looks so different now, I prefer the original mall with the clock tower!

The lion is absolutely the best in this batch, but I’m so excited to see the Glinda pop in person, it looks like the best in the collection just judging from photos. Hopefully they arrive soon!

I’m gonna have to comment separately for each pop because I’m too excited to wait till the end! I agree that the texturing on Scarecrow’s face is lacking, but I genuinely LOVE how in the side view you not only get the color variation but the puckering of the fabric. That might be my favorite thing about him. Plus wouldn’t he be cute if he were dancing? Like all arms and legs and needing a base to hold him up?

AGREED! I wish he was dancing or was in a pose that showed off a bit more fluidity and motion!

Matt, the best one, as you said is the cowardly lion. But not the chase one. When I saw the glams, the chase cowardly lion didn't look like the lion. I have no idea what they were thinking. I hoped and prayed that I wouldn't get the chase. My order arrived Saturday, I was relieved not to have gotten the chase. I'm still trying to find a retailer that has the Flying Monkey re-stocking. And I still have to buy a Wizard. I'm hoping to get them soon. Fingers crossed.

I went into this collection fully expecting to only buy Dorothy with Toto (not the sepia one because well it looks like it's going to be more expensive and not as nice, but that's just me) because I just love her so much and Toto is a fun bonus, but after this video I may have to buy Cowardly Lion too. He's too cute and the detailing is amazing. Maybe I'll talk myself into getting the whole collection (but probably not). Definitely out of this first batch I would rank them from least favourite to favourite as Scarecrow, Wicked Witch, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion.

The Lion is so great!!!! Truthfully, if WoO wasn’t my favourite movie I probably would have just gone for Dorothy, the lion and Glinda based on sculpt and detailing alone…BUT the witch really surprised me with the sculpt on her costume. But yeah, you can’t go wrong with Dorothy and Toto!!

Matt. I was just wondering if you were ever able to get the Flying Monkey pop? It's been a hassle in the USA. I didn't order it when the first dropped. Stupid stupid stupid. Lack of funds at the time. Then it never came locally. I tried ordering it from FYE, but they ran out of stock so they said that they would complete my order once it restocked. I got an email yesterday informing that Funko told them that there would be no restocks. Our!!! My local Hot Topic, Gamestop, and Target haven't gotten them in yet (and may not). Finally the other Barnes and Noble said that it had them in stock, so I jumped on the monkey and one is on the way. Finally. Hope you're well..

Tin Man is quite lovely! I actually wish the rust was a touch more visible (maybe lighting can help with that?) but I’m loving all his little rivets!

💯 The rusting is so subtle, it was hard to capture on camera. I wish it was a bit more pronounced but I really appreciate that it helps keep him from being monochromatic

I agree so much about the sculpt on the Lion! It’s got so much Bert Lahr in it!!!!! So good. I’m still not understanding why they went Makeover Lion (although he’s ADORBS)… but right now I’m choosing to see it as an indication that more WOO pops are coming!! (Also so they can course correct the WTF sepia totally non-Kansas Dorothy)

YES! WE NEED MORE WOO POPS! I think I cut it from this video, but I mentioned that there’s no apparent rhyme or reason to when these pops exist on the WOO timeline. At first I thought they were meant to be when Dorothy first meets when (which would excuse the Scarecrow pose that I resent so much) BUT the lion’s bow throws that theory out the window! I would love to see a second wave of Oz….if only to get a new Scarecrow and a king of the forest lion 🥰

The witch’s brooooooooom! There’s so much movement in it! I still don’t like her face (although the squinty eyes are fab) but neck down is superb.

TOTALLY. I almost want to fashion a new head for her, maybe I can Frankenstein something when the Wicked pops are released later this year 🤔
