Hi Mate..Make sure you remove all grass from underneath your mower deck which will compress and rust out...also spray WD40 which will preserve the metal and stop grass from sticking..Happy Mowing champion.

Yes mate always use premium fuel in your Victa for a cleaner burn...and you forgot to mention you have a wash port on the top of the deck...happy mowing champion.

I've got a Victa 2 stroke. Coming up to 16 years old. Starts first go. Everytime. Never missed a beat. Sad that I'll have to switch to 4 stroke eventually, but it is what it is.

Keep the vents open for thicker lawns to let the catcher breath and close them for dusty clips.

The last few mows I have been using the mulcher plug and cutting it higher, to thicken it up. So far so good 👍

Bought one of these 2 weeks ago,,$429 from Bunnings with a "to clear" sign on it,to replace my Chinese TPE with B&S motor (which i will keep as it still runs well). I regret it.The catcher design is a complete mess up.Makes a hard job out of emptying grass clippings "shake shake shake excessively" and it only holds 1/3 the grass that the TPE does despite the catcher being the same size basically.The problem i have worked out is,Victa have molded a Ramp into the front of the catcher which creates a bottleneck "waistline?" at the front of the catcher,which only fills 70% and is loosely packed and when tipped the bottleneck restricts grass from falling away easily.The TPE has the ramp built in to the mower itself and so the catcher has a nice large rectangular entrance for the clippings to enter and pack in right to the top,the catcher slowly tapers inwards to the back,result is grass falls out easily,makes a big difference when you're over 70.So Victa,pretty poor effort and step backwards i reckon.

Great vid. Is this engine touted as having that ‘ just check and add feature ‘ for the oil? Not a feature, just an engine made with loose tolerances. Do your oil changes as per a normal four stroke engine. After the first few hours then every pre season. Oil is cheap insurance.

I brought this mower and the stupid plastic wheels broke off after the 4 th mowing. The steel wheels are replaced with plastic ones. America's need to understand that Australia conditions are different to Americans conditions. We need the stell wheels back on. I returned it to bunnings and got a new lawn mower.

Hi Mate, Mower is going great ! The only problem I have had is only cosmetic. Two of the letters (Victa sticker decals) has fallen off. I am fairly sure they have just put a flat sticker on this years model. Only a cosmetic thing, but overall very happy 😊
