I love fishing and the unboxing got me excited, UNTIL I looked at the Terry Isaac painting in front of your desk. I love his artwork.

Fishing is definitely my favorite thing to do. This year hasn’t been a great year for it though. I love unboxing those things. I have a closet full of MTB’s.

The mystery tackle boxes are definitely a bit gimmicky, and I don't think they're all that great a value in terms of the items you get. For me there's a lot of value however in the randomness of the contents. I'm someone that goes to the store and gets paralyzed by options. I usually end up just buying a new color of craw plastic of bass jig, and don't end up trying a new lure type. These mystery boxes have given me the reason to go out and try lipless crankbaits, wacky rigs, spinner baits, and a whole lot more.

They’re definitely gimmicky, I just really enjoyed buying them and see what comes in them. I honestly hardly use anything that comes in them. It’s more than an addiction at this point that I can’t shake lol

@@NewEnglandOutdoorAdventures I'm exactly the same way haha. My boss always gives me grief when I pop one open at the start of a fishing trip but I think it's fun.

All those will work well in the Connecticut River.

Heck the only thing that works for me in the Connecticut are red rooster tails, Mepps 3’s 5 of diamonds and black and blue worms. That’s about it.

@@NewEnglandOutdoorAdventures if you go to the boat launch, go to the far right hand side, there is a little cove, always have done well with spinner baits or the #7 floating gold Rapala.

Off to the right there is a Colvert on the other side of the railroad tracks. I landed a 8.5 lb large mouth out of there.

Damn I’ve been fishing there my whole life and have never caught anything that big over there.
