I just took my youngest son bass fishing for the first time last week and he caught two pound and a halfers and he was super proud. He's now hooked, no pun intended. Hey Tyler, I've started my journey on bass fishing a few months ago. During this journey, my little cousin has taken interest in bass fishing, I've been teaching him the basics of bass fishing and even bought him his first fishing rod. He asks me all the time if I'm able to get him new gear, most of the time I get him something but a lot of the time I'm not able to because i don't have the money. His birthday passed and I didn't get him anything. I really want to see him get his first fish. I want him to have this tackle because i remember when I caught my first fish, how excited I was, and how fast I put that fish back because i was scared of hurting it. I want that for him. Where I live not a lot of the kids fish and I want to change that. I want to pass on something valuable to my little cousin so he can pass it on aswell.

My father in law is finally going to be able to retire from his career after several hiccups keeping him stuck at work. He has been dreaming and working for far too long and there is always a hiccup to keep him working. He bought a used bass/ski boat just two months ago and has had nothing but problems after he got it. He has a dream of finally getting the opportunity to be able to learn and teach his grandchildren to fish. Thank you for the tips for a first tackle box. My Grandson's (2 and half years old) favorite game is a fishing game/toy. He loves to look at pictures of the fish I have caught. My son just caught his first bass at age 6 and he was so excited he legitimately couldn’t speak!!! I’d love to give it to him and I’ll even add his very first bait caster to the lot. He refuses to use a spinning reel because he “wants to use what daddy uses”. Idk how early and how easily most anglers start to use casting gear but I bet he could challenge anyone his age. His first cast was damn near perfect and I was then legitimately speechless myself. The video is awesome and I can’t wait to see how he does with it next time we go out on the water.

I had a massive brain hemorrhage on June 2 of this year, it left me slightly wonky but really I was very lucky - (God loves me even with all my warts :) ) Anyway, I had never fished before - You’re gonna be mad about this but I live on a little lake in Olympia, WA (With some decent bass in it) and I only started fishing because I couldn’t work and was getting depressed and needed to find a hobby, so at age 61, I started watching your videos, bought some stuff and started catching fish. It’s really helped me transition from 38 years of chasing bad guys and convincing myself I am a badass and learning a fun hobby that keeps me busy. Wow I really wished I knew about you year’s ago. I’m 62, retired and now taking up fishing. It was my Doctor that recommended it after I suffered a dissecting Carotic artery. No longer taking blood thinners so I’m not worried about getting cut. So I’m now taking up fishing. The lake is only 18 min from my house. I’m also in Florida, a good state to fish all year. My big move is to fish from a kayak. I never had any luck fishing , Thanks to you, I’m learning and loving it.

This was an excellent list. The only thing I can think to add is a popping frog (walking is a little more advanced). Two colors is all you need for a beginner. White and black.

I know I’m very late but my dad had a stroke and we had to take him off of life support at a young age for me and I never was able to learn how to fish the way he did. I’ve been looking for a loooong time for someone to teach me or give me insight because it makes me feel closer to him and my grandpa who doesn’t have much time left himself. I went out again and again and again and again and never got a single bite. I don’t want to give up though. I want to catch my first bass and your videos give me hope that I can. If I were to get this box….I know it may sound selfish but I would keep it and use it to its fullest. Wish me luck as we go into this early spring season.
