I have a zhuque Scarlet Bird 8A that's about 20 years old now and I absolutely adore the tone.

This guzheng sounds beautiful. It seems to have a bright, yet mellow tone.

That Guzheng looks expensive 😳 I am thinking about learning the Guzheng I have been playing the harp for 26 years. I am not sure as an American should I learn the Chinese Guzheng. I thought about the koto or the Gayageum , but I have always love the sound of the Guzheng. I know there is no teachers here in my home 😒 Louisiana. But carol chang I think that's her name have online videos teaching the Guzheng and she speaks English. She wrote a book for the Guzheng in both Chinese and English. So that is a big help 🤔 still I am not sure if I should go with the Gayageum or koto over the Guzheng. Out of all three the Guzheng is the less expensive one. I do love the Gayageum as well and my favorite jazz harpist Dorothy Ashby played beautiful harp and koto. I was actually looking for the koto when I learned about the Guzheng. I will have to give it a little more thought.
