Definitely the 4 batrel hinge is the best. Seems to be more sturdy and I like that the lid fully opens.

Bring back the 4 barrel hinge Zippo!!!!! One of my favorite carry pieces is a 41 replica crackle I got for Christmas this past year. And something about the hollow rivets on vintage zippos just looks way cooler.

I love the hollow rivet big fan also. Yeah there is no stronger sturdier hinge than the 4 barrel that’s for sure. That’s what the armor needs on it

I believe thats the first of your vids where you peeled the sticker the easy way. Super cool zippo. I just ordered one in black ice. Super cool. And i never used to repack any zippo... Never knew you had to till.your older videos.

Hahaha I know right. I’m used to having no stickers or stickers that didnt have the flap. It wasn’t till the late 80’s or early 90’s they introduced the flap I can’t remember. And when your collecting old zippos none of them had stickers because they are used. I only ever started buying “new” zippos untill 2016. From the 80’s until then I was buying used pawn shop Niagara Falls.

I carried a zippo for thirty years out of the box. Found your channel, used your tricks and now it’s like having an all new lighter. I’ve repacked all my daily carries and they work amazing. Peeled the chimney cap of my pipe insert and now I have the best of both worlds. Amazing channel. Thanks

Since my daily zippo is going to be 15 years old soon,I've ordered two 1941 replicas,brushed chrome and black crackle,which one would be more suitable for a daily?i know that the chrome holds better than the brass over time,but i never had a black crackle.

I wish they didn’t put “41 replica” on the bottom. I don’t see any benefit to it, and it just makes it look cheap. I’m glad I got mine before they started doing that.

I keep a 41 replica in my edc rotation. If you wait, they go on sale periodically online. Mine around the holidays was under 20 bucks shipped. But worth most average regular prices I see currently. I'll have a full line of 41's and spare 41's as backups because I like the design and 4 barrel hinge so much. One lighter at a time.

I got a replica with the same date codes as yours . The problem is that the hinge is very loose and in Europe is pretty hard to repair them .
