Something that I like about Samsung's approach to foldable devices is that they see and receive feedback from the community and improve the imperfections. It's good to see that there is a market for foldable devices out there. I've been using my Z fold 2 for 2 years now. And though it may not be the best phone spec wise, it definitely helps having the extra real estate to work and enjoy content on the phone.

I have always known the bad parts of it, but it is this new 4 line up that is making me feel confident in recommending it to anyone! I've had the flip 3 for 8 months now and absolutely love it! I hope with my phone plan to upgrade to the food next year though. One thing to keep in mind with the flip is the pre-installed screen protector wears out around the hinge after a couple months but you void your warranty by changing the screen protector yourself so you need to send it in to Samsung to change to keep the warranty.

As a Z Flip 3 user, I gotta say its the best knowing the phone is its' own case. Also it's so much more compact in the pocket. I'll definitely be considering a future model. I've heard a lot about how the fold will get dead pixels after "x" amount of open/closes. I'm curious about that on the fold 4.

I'm using one rn and with gamepass or netboom cloud gaming it runs smoothly it handles emulators like nothing and native Android games can be ran at max settings and the fold 4 won't skip a beat. This phone replaced my win600 that I upgraded to 32gb of ram and 1tb simply because it outperforms my win600 in every aspect, there's obviously things I can't do like run steam os (or I don't know how to or if possible) but I still haven't figured out everything on this phone either

ZFold4 owner here, coming from the ZFold3. Crazy experience to relay. Yesterday my device flew out of my vehicle in the middle of traffic, got ran over. The interior and exterior screens are still fully functional and not damaged at all. The problem is that my camera module no longer works, and the back glass is shattered.😅😅😅 Safe to say durability is not a compromise of these devices now. I'm a believer.

I'm totally getting the ZFold. I wasn't quite ready for a fold 2 years ago when last I upgraded because my financial situation wasn't the best and also was concerned about brand new technology but I really feel like they've made massive strides in the tech and I'm in a much better position financial. Haven't decided between the ZFold 3 or 4 yet but that's mostly gonna be a cost issue. If the 4 isn't too much more expensive than the 3 was last I checked probably going with the 4.

Be careful with the screen. The reliability is the worst. After few months, you will get some dead pixel around the fold area. The screen protector also bad. The stickness to the screen will be reduced time by time and then it will look nasty on the screen. I will never be getting this kind of phone again in my life. Basically a phone that wasting so much of my time.

The Z flip looks aestheticly more tempting but b/c of the screen real estate and s-pen support (even the big price gap in b/w them) would go with the fold! When Samsung manages to put the s-pen inside (which I believe it will not take more than 2 years from today), the name fold will change to note.. This will be the new note device.

Latercase was by far the best case I got for my fold 3, protected the phone but kept an already bulky phone slimmer with a case. Only thing is I wish it had more color options. I'm not a plain black guy I like my devices to have some color

Ive been a samsung user for a while now and in gull honesty have never really been dissapointed with the quality and experience they want to give their customers, what I really like about samsung is that they have always made sure to listen to their critics and even learn from their previous devices to imporve the overall experience for their customers. Love this device even after only using it through the Samsung trial where you can trial the device before using it and if you dont like it you can return it with no fee and if you like it then you can enter into their monthly or biweekly payments.

@@NazraT1704 mine is but it's not a crack. Looks like the top of the screen is coming unstuck where it folds. It's under warranty and covered and it's still good for a trade in. My wife's is just fine though. I'm thinking about going to the Flip 4 because Samsung will give me one for $99 with trade in.

@@NazraT1704 I just got email from Samsung and they will give me $700 credit for trade-in on the Flip 4. I've thought about it all day and I'm not going to get it. Instead I'm going to turn my Flip 3 in for warranty repair and wait until Christmas or later. There's just nothing wrong with this one and after the warranty it'll be like new again. I have to admit this phone is the overall best one I've had in years. It's only a 128gb but I haven't run out of space yet. If I had the 256gb they would've given me $900 trade-in. I have been using Galaxy S series since S2 and upgrading 'every year' to the new version until S21 Ultra 5G, then moved to Z Fold3 last year. I liked the bigger screen when unfold so no complaints there; however, I used the front screen most of the time as I can use it with one hand. Because the front screen is narrow, the keyboard is so small and it was very difficult for me to type because of my big finger tip (made lots of tying errors). Besides, when folded, it is quite thick. So, I decided to move back to a traditional form factor phone to Sony Xperia Pro-I and now to Xperia 1 IV and sold the Fold3. Looking at Fold4, I don't see any significant differences. I will not move back to Z Fold series until they can make the front screen wider such that it is practical to use for people with larger fingers and make it overall slimmer when folded. Anyway, don't get me wrong. Z Fold 3 was an excellent phone, but it just doesn't quite fit with the way I use the phone.

The gaming experience (Fold 3 owner) is incredible. I would even say you could use your phone to game instead of your xbox/PS/switch! The screen, especially in this new model, is so big and immersive, that you have no limitations because of a small screen. This phone also has options to play xbox or PS with their respective apps (monthly payment) on the go! So I loved to play minecraft dungeons in my off time at work. Just put in my earphones, open the game up (super fast with the processing power😍) and game for awhile.

What they could do to do away with the under the display camera is by using a pop up camera on the top right of the hinge allowing for a better camera, the ability to zoom, and the ability to record in the highest resolution like 8k. So with it being positioned right of the hinge you could use it while closed or open. They could also do the same the thing with back camera that way your phone can lay flat and you don't have to worry about scratching the lenses and it won't wobble. Doing this will create the best all around phone and you wouldn't ever need to use anything else unless you want to upgrade each year.

Yup. Oppo and Huawei both did away with the crease thanks to the tear drop hinge which removes the crease and makes it fold flat. In the mean time samsung have done nothing, so you end up with a crease getting more noticable from the day you first start to use it (note it comes in the box open so the crease gets worse from day one), and also it doesn't fold flat so the hinge makes the device feel like you're holding an external battery pack in your hands. Yet again, no upgrade path for me with Samsung from the fold 2.

They are tinkering with a hinge that is already too big and chunky from the first fold. Other manufacturers have dealt with both the crease and not making the device wedge shaped, even though those companies ALL BUY THE DISPLAYS FROM SAMSUNG!

They are not focussing on existing fold users at all anymore and so they just keep producing a slightly different iteration of the same basic design flaws that are getting no iteration at all

One you can't make the crease disappear cause it needs the hinge and the hinge is what gives it it's foldable capabilities. Two you can fold it flat cause of the hinge. Actually the hinge even does the screen a better job with the crease. Think of it as folding a paper, if you fold the paper and keep space in between the middle you can unfold it without getting that much of a crease but if it were to be folded without the space the crease would even be greater unless you make the screen into two halves but then that defeats the purpose of having a foldable that works as a normal phone. Oppo and Huawie have both achieved it by making a tear drop shaped hinge that allows the display to have a much greater angle to bend, whereas samsung don't and make the crease bend up so tight that the display stays in that shape permanently. No crease on the Oppo Find N or the Huawei mate X2, and they both fold up completely flat, not wedge shaped like Samsung's badly designed hinge. It also allows both of them to have a full width front display that looks exactly like a non-foldable. Meanwhile Samsung have done nothing for 4 generations other than try to make their badly designed hinge slightly smaller to give an extra 1mm width. Samsung just don't want my money anymore.

The crease in the middle of the large display is a huge deal breaker for me. I've felt the phone in my hand and the crease is noticeable. Its not great at all and it's something that some people can't get over so I'll give them about a couple more years to remove the crease but as of now these are just rest phones that's too expensive for a plastic dent prone phone. The tech is amazing and also the camera is also but yeah that crease is something I can't get over

Wow... 4 phones in and Samsung is almost making a fold phone as nice as Oppo's Find N. Still see the crease quite clearly and the hinge still creates a small arch. Maybe they will eliminate those idiosyncrasies with the Fold 5 💁🏻‍♂️

Are you kidding me? Camera is awful and like from an old cctv. I nearly bought one from a Chinese who shifted to an ultra S22. But after testing it I hated the functionality as you have to deal with Chinese prompts and services that I had enough and cancelled the deal.

Let's be honest, Samsung's 2022 phones really haven't lit the world on fire. You can go on KZbin and see many people say the S21 Ultra just felt better to use than the S22 Ultra even if the S22 Ultra is "technically" better. But sometimes the experience is not better. Sometimes newer isn't always better. The iPhone 12 mini is much better than the iPhone SE (2016) but I came running back using the SE because it just felt better in the hand to use. I prefer Touch ID and headphone jack. The Pixel 6 series was supposed to be the best Pixel ever, but all I heard for most of the past year was how buggy they were. How updates made some things worse. Samsung mailed it in this year. Just more of the same from the S22 Ultra, Fold 4, and Flip 4 that you got from the 2021 models. But we still got techtubers hyping the crap out of them! Get those views. 😉 We can't expect Samsung to reinvent the wheel every year but where's that secret third foldable or rollable they're working on? I thought Samsung had something cookin' behind closed doors? Each new announcement this year just feels like same ol', same ol'. Been there, done that. Looks the same with slightly better innards. Your experience will be pretty much the same. Smartphones were pretty much perfected since 2017 or even as far back to 2014. Perhaps too perfect or too powerful that it creates distractions we don't really need in our daily lives. I will say I do like the faster and more efficient Snap 8+ Gen 1. If you're into retro gaming emulation, any boost in clock speeds can really help smooth out the experience trying to emulate more powerful consoles. My Snap888 can run PS2/GameCube/Wii extremely well but it's not always smooth. Any boost in speed can smooth it out.
