Sad to see these selfish, not caring, uneducated fucks in the comment section say things like they do about this man and his story. Words can't even explain what this man went through and then there are these people on the internet with lives so much better than his was, putting him down because they don't know what a true struggle is. Louis Zamperini, R.I.P. man.

As a Torrance high school graduate this hits close to home, and it's a damn shame he had to leave us just a few months before this film's release, I'm gonna watch this movie all the way through with all my friends who already know the story, right here in Torrance, California, I'm glad to say I was able to see the man in person, he was a great man, now a legend, but he was also such a kind human being, rest easy Louis.

This movie was nothing less of greatness in documenting a man’s life so epic on all human capacity. Louis fought with peace and integrity not just for his family, friends or his enemies, but for humanity. We will all die at some point in our lifetime; what do you want the world to remember you as? Despite, many critics and their open opinions about the film, we can't deny the bravery that exist within this film of which depicted Louis Zamperini and many who illuminated his life. Throughout this movie his life broadcast many struggles beyond war, beyond men, beyond race, beyond countries’ borders, but of deep faith beyond persecution. We can only image someone else’s pain until we have walked in their shoes. Unbroken has taught me to never let someone still your joy and forgive, not just for the other person, but mostly for you.

Noone understands my love and connection with this story. When I read this book with my class, I thought I would hate it, but with smiles and years throughout this book, it became THE best book I have ever read. I don't think any book will ever be able to top it. Rest in peace zamperini, you will be missed.

The book was phenomenal. Unbelievable true story of L. Zamperini who just passed a couple months ago. We were completely hooked to the audiobook and couldn't wait to get in our car and drive somewhere to listen to it. Angelina Jolie will do an amazing job and we are so excited for it to come out at Christmas! Too bad Mr. Zamperini won't be able to watch the finished product!!! They will honour him as he deserves to be.. he has more character, integrity, and fight in him then all of us commenting on here put together.

Many Koreans volunteer for military service and, during Greater East Asia War, became a Japanese soldier. Because the soldier from Korea often escaped in front of the enemy, the Korea soldier was often reshuffled by the monitoring soldier of the prisoners' camp. However, a Japanese soldier from Korea which became a monitoring soldier did a lot of prisoner abuse. as a result . There were 23 Koreans executed as a BC grade war crime by Tokyo lynching trials. By the way, there is no custom of the cannibalism in Japan.

Why the Korean want to be part of the Japanese Military group while their own country was being controled by Japan? Many Korean women were used as comfort women for the Japanese soldiers. Please , don't write things that you don't know. You are insulting the Koreans.

Even though I find Angelina to be a rather unconvincing actress (albeit her dead on looking portrayal of Maleficent) she may very well have a great knack in the directors chair. Just look at Ben Affleck, we may have another surprise actor turned director on our hands. Zamperini's story will probably be what bolsters her overall project though.

Try telling that to his wife and family, because he passed a little over a month ago. And the "cheesy narrator"? One of the greatest news anchors NBC has ever had, Tom Brochaw.
