@@thynysan True. But we played Clemson at home, and let's be honest, Clemson didn't play as well as they normally do and that game was our "Super Bowl". I think Clemson overlooked UNC in that game but UNC certainly had something to do with though. We always lose these SEC big games in the early season. Even though we broke through last year with a win over the lamecocks, Auburn is on a different level. We don't have the depth in the trenches yet. But anything can happen.

realistically, no it can’t, and for one simple reason: north carolina’s administration is more focused on basketball. north carolina will always invest more in basketball than in football because basketball is a much more safe investment with unc being a blue blood. unc football will never have the resources to compete with the top tier of football for extended periods. clemson had the advantage of having a shit basketball program. clemson put all their money into football, and it worked. that will not happen to unc football

I keep hearing this every other year or once every 5 years. That Unc is different this year on the rise etc. Just too much hype but not production on the field or good quality wins. From John Bunting to Butch Davis, have high hopes but they never really deliver anything. Just a disappointing season at the end. Sure we may win a few meaningless bowl games but never on a national stage. Just tired of hear this same tune every year. Big hype at the beginning of the year, but finished ether in the middle or bottom of the conference. I want to see some consistency in wins.

Ok the only fun season under Bunting was 2001 and to an extent 2004 but every other season was absolutely miserable to watch. Butch was brought in to finish what Brown started and he was well on his way until dumbass Thorpe fired him over something out of his control. Fedora had so much potential but he just kept losing games that they really should have been winning and his recruiting was questionable. Mack is the only coach in the modern era of the program that has been able to win consistently.

@@danielgoss6367 They will eventually, but the school/city claims they don't have enough resources and money to host FBS bowl games as well. The Fargodome is big enough, but others disagree. Also, winning Championships and producing great NFL players is a couple big reasons to stay. The wrestling program is the best in the Big 12, so there must be an incentive to move to the Big 12 with all men/women sports. The athletes that come to NDSU are amazing, and it's starting to give the school huge exposure.
