The best G6 team to use and eventually move to a bigger conference (back to the SEC, usually) has always been Tulane for me Sweet jerseys, solid recruiting area and stadium, lots of history, and good academics.

Call it what you want, but the Cougars were the national champions in 1984, no doubt. They did it, regardless.

No BYU wasn't at all worthy of the national title in 1984. Washington was more deserving, and that comes from a Ducks fan. Honestly of all the really good BYU teams in the 80s, I don't even think this one was top 3. That said, nobody can take it away from you BYU fans. Weather I think you deserved it or not, your team has a NATIONAL TITLE and nobody can take that from you.

I would have gone (during the overexpansion of the WAC in 1996): National: New Mexico, Air Force Academy, Utah, Tulsa, UTEP, Colorado State, BYU, Wyoming American: San Diego State, SMU, UNLV, Fresno State, Hawaii, TCU, Rice, San Jose State And since there were 11 games back then, I say go 9 conference games with only two non-conference. With basketball, you play 14 teams once, while playing number 15 (your biggest rival) twice. For baseball, since 5 of them don't sponsor the sport (Colorado State, Wyoming, SMU, Tulsa and UTEP), you got 11 that do. So I would say you play the 10 others three times each in a three game series for a total of 30 games. Do this, and the WAC would probably still be a 1-A conference today.

In 1983 BYU lost their first game of the season to Baylor then won their next 11 going 11-1 that year. The went 13-0 in 1984 getting the National Championship and also having the longest winning streak 24-0 in 1983 and 1984!

This shit cursed Miami, VaTech, BC i dont think has had a significant win in years and years, Syracuse hasnt done shxt and now the ACC is probably the worst power 5 conference there is. With Florida State being in the gutter and Clemson being openly unhappy i think the ACCs days are numbered

It just hit me. Any chance you could do a video on how Pitt and WVU football in 2007 basically killed a conference with the result of 1 game. You could spin that to blame Pitt for winning, WVU for leaving for Big12, Pat McAffee for missing the field goal, etc. I think you could make an interesting video on this one.

Had Penn State joined the Big East, either the Big East collapses at the time of a NCAA Breakaway (like the ACC might) or the Big East and ACC converge into one giant Eastern Conference, and join the Big 12, Big 10, and SEC in the breakaway. The Big East would be alive and kicking, but with an uncertain future on its own.

Georgia fan here. It’s unfortunate that we didn’t go three in a row for National Championships, but I think we’re going to pull it off again this year. We crushed Clemson and eviscerated Tennessee Tech. Our next game is against Kentucky, who we’ve beaten 14 consecutive times.

If Florida doesn't blow late lead against Miami, they should have won title. One of the polls allowed them to be in the poll. Even as it was, 2 or more computer polls ranked Florida #1 at the end of the season. If they had stopped that last Miami drive, you'd have to givecit to them. People don't realize how good those '83, '84, '85 Florida teams were because of the probation, bowl ban, poll ban in 1

Georgia Football has still been relevant since Herschel Walker left. They ve probably had no more than 4 losing seasons since The Freshman Phenom left for Greener Pastures. No other D1 School can say that. How can you rise when you have been winning consistently for 40 years?
