My Dad took 25k out of our shared business to invest into another business with someone else with out telling me, I looked in our bank account and it was just gone. He still says “that’s why you don’t go into business with family, because it ruins relationships” he’s so narcissistic that he doesn’t realise he’s the one in the wrong. Money doesn’t ruin families, shitty people with money just become greedy. There are many of family businesses that are successful and happy, the difference is they are good people that care about their family members success as much as their own.

Yep, it blead my business out and I never recovered from that money being withdrawn. What’s even sadder is my daughter is his first grandchild, and due to our business closing I had to sell my house and go back to school full time. Spent 10 years and thousands of dollars trying to be apart of “the family business.” He took that money and invested into a separate business with two of his friends “with out including me obviously” and they ended up selling that business for a profit. It was a pretty recognisable restaurant franchise.

Well, if the family made sacrifices to get that athlete into a position to go pro and make the money, one could argue that they are owed _something._ 🤷🏾♀️ The parent(s) who works 3 jobs to afford the gear for your sport; siblings who help raise the younger kids for absent/busy parents, or grandmas that raise their grandbabies and keep them out of “the bad life” should be rewarded, shouldn’t they? I mean, it seems like most athletes’ stories involve a “it takes a village” chapter where others helped them achieve the success they enjoy as a pro. I wouldn’t ask for anything, but NGL, I would be p¡ssed if nothing was offered in acknowledgment of that sacrifice.

This also happened to tennis legend, Juan Martin Del Potro, with his biological father using all of his son's money to buy worthless properties and Del Potro finding out that his father spent all of his money when his father died. Then of course Dane Cook's step-brother or cousin spent tens of millions of Dane Cook's money when he was at the peak of his fame.

Greed is evil. This evil destroys people. Those with money can get trapped by those without and visa versa.

What’s crazy is this has been going on for awhile, they reached a settlement earlier this year and they were supposed to start paying him back in installments starting September 30th and they never started paying him back, that’s why he’s suing now

It's one of the most misquoted verses of all time. Money is NOT the root of all evil. The LOVE OF MONEY is the root of all evil. 1 Timothy 6:10
