This happened to me at an event, I was one of the only black people there and security didn't believe I belonged there, they assumed I snuck in. I stood my ground and explained that I had paid to be there, it was a school fundraiser, I was even waiting in line to give them my name so I could get my table number.... My white friend stepped in, but it should not have come to that.... I quietly contacted management and she was removed....

If you watch the footage, you don’t see any other celebrities - black, white, Asian - being ushered through/handled (literally) by security in the same way Kelly was. They all were able to take their time and pose, wave, get group photos, etc. and there was even a dog with a GoPro cam walking the red carpet. Stars are late quite often due to wardrobe malfunction, having to get from one engagement to another, etc. Even if Kelly was late, she wasn’t trying to hold up the event, as she was walking up the steps and did quick stops to wave and pose. Kelly has always been gracious with photographers, which is why they adore her. This woman was out of line, especially when she stepped on her dresses train TWICE!!! How fast can a person was with a long dress, heels and a steep staircase. She also placed her hand in the way to block a photo.

Her assistant or security should have stepped in and taken the L for Kelly... No one should have been able to TOUCH her... .They are getting paid to be the bad guys to protect Kelly's image... As someone who worked in customer service and public relation, this security guard would have not finished the day at work. We are trained, to keep things going without pressuring and rushing rudely people. This was a failed interaction. Being at the festival should be an amazing type of experience. I'm really upset because it was unprofessional.

Goodness gracious if you are going to report on stuff like this do the work. That assistant to the right is Gwyneth Paltrow the actress. Also Kelly originally told the lady, "Your okay" or something like that when she stepped on her dress. That is why she smiled at first and reached out. However the woman said something slick and that is why she said "Don't talk to me like that". Look it's okay if we don't go to school for journalism but if you are going to report information you have to level up.
