This cover/issue taught me how to draw teeth. I was in 8th grade. Eddie, the mascot of Iron Maiden, helped too.

It's interesting the bits and pieces you pick up, I learned how to draw shoulders off Keown & Silvestri, but not arms or torsos.

Chris wanting to retire X-Men was never going to fly because 1. That's not the reality of monthly superhero comics 2. creating replacement IP is not actually that easy.

I get the impression Chris thought it was that easy, and I guess at that point he had reason to think so. But yeah, long term, probably not feasible, but I like the idea.

I liked this 4ish arc if memory serves right. The Brood is back trying to take over. Them brood mutants were in a car being blocked by colossus who took out the whole engine block. One brood was asking if he have the seat belt on. The above mentioned Peter wonking the engine out. One of them was named brick bat, I think. I like the preacher there in the end. Like the title said, it was Glory Days indeed. I could not stand my beloved Xmen nowadays, woke shitshow is an abyss that is endless. Even that reboot coming up is dead to me before the first ish. I just still can't go back to Graymalkin Ln in Westchester county even if it's breaking my heart to so much fragments of beautiful memories.

I think he had more time with the last few, around here he's starting to have to speed up his production- which will work in his favour in the long run, but now, yeah, he does end up with some sloppy panels as a result.
