When Sam drives off in the boat, I like to think he's just giving Nathan the full pirate experience; including being marooned on a deserted island in the middle of nowhere.

Man, PS5 version has such generous checkpoints. In the original even if you fail at the last guy before the end of encounter, you start over from the beginning. Good job anyway. It took me forever to beat chapter 13 on crushing.

19:27 - Apparently Grandson Burns was so dedicated he opened the cross in Panama, took the paper, and then....hid the broken cross back behind the secret rock for Nathan to find a couple of centuries later. Now THAT's some determined trolling. 😂

Grandson Burns didn't care about the cross. He got what he needed out of it and put the rock back. Makes sense to me.
