V For Vendetta My uncle owns a fireworks store and orders them all from China , he goes to China every five years or so ! Point being they send different things over with the fireworks including things like this ! There's not a single named brand in there , seriously this is the size of a child's backpack! I can't say I know the exact price of this one but it's definitely under $100 dollars! I've seen ones that are sold for $250 and that's with a mark up , also the quality was much better than what was in this one ! Had more items and was 2 weeks of food or week for 2 people! Now understandable not everyone can get these deals, but still for $250 you could get one that's way more and much better quality! I know things from China are cheap but they also have different qualities, I'm pretty sure the ones for $250 my uncle gets if they fall in line with the fireworks it's a little under 1/3 the price then markup ! Fantastic review! I also don't think you should have to apologize for giving your opinion at the end, no matter how long. ok first of all, this was so worth the wait, really clear concise breakdown as always. your contextual opinion segment really added to the video imo. one thing i appreciate about your vids is that you have a reasonable take, whereas others feel the need to either be hyper critical or overly gushy, its nice to see a level headed take and that really came in when discussing the price, for some its too much, for others its fine. the actual kitbashing whilst always fun, really was cool in this one, the additions really took this bag to a premium level, also completely agree about how name brand tools would have gone a long way to justifying price. and final comment, I WOULD LOVE TO SEE A BREAKDOWN OF YOUR BUG OUT BAG. thank you for continuing to provide fun, entertaining, informative and inspirational content.

The number of times the UNCHARTED Logo was used on the different elements within the kit was Overkill, but the number of times you mentioned that fact was ahhh .... Overkill. Good review.

What you've missed: *gas mask with filter* *portable oxygen* *portable fire extinguisher* *smoke grenades* *suture kit* *penicillin* *syringe* *restraint zip tie* *small gasoline bottle* *spray for animals* *powerful sling* *chalk powder* *food bait for animals*

What would you use the chalk powder for, and what do you mean by powerful sling?
@SergheyCSA3 жыл бұрын
@@ragamuffin1588 A slingshot that you can buy from Hunting Stores! A slingshot can be used as a hunting device, but also other ways - to signal for help, to throw a rope for climbing...Chalk powder is good for different situations - you can make handmade dust grenades, you can use it to create paths in a forest and not get lost, you can use it to send a message, you can use it if you are sweating or if you need to climb rocks...

@@SergheyCSA You don't want your bag to be too heavy or too big, leaving some spare space is also very important. Portable oxygen and portable fire extinguisher better to stay in your vehicle, not your bag.

@@thangtrinh3237 In case of a disaster, you would want to have all those things, because you can also help others to survive - friends, family or strangers. If you live in a city - don't expect a car to save you since everyone will use a car and block the roads - in case of a disaster -earthquake, virus - the bag will help you reach a safe zone in a mountain area or a bunker or a ship on a port so you can survive on ocean!

I like the waterproof bag backpack combo with the extras around the outside, something I've never seen before. I also like the organization pouch/bag to a point. That's something you normally don't see. I would like to see some decent organization pouches/bags that are or can be labeled. I'm not that good at organizing things in a meaningful way. Could you do a video on pack and pouch organizing?

you are correct about shipping butane lighters. Butane is a flamable material and is listed as HAZMAT in shipping and shipping hazmat materials is very expensive compared to non hazmat items btw greetings from Macon

I would imagine that the sort of person who would buy this kit is the sort of person who would just take the contents as read beyond taking inventory. For this sort of person it is very good, clearly labelled and sectioned off with a wide range of possibly useful items. The irony is the sort of person who would be capable of getting the best from this kit would rarely buy it because they know tested and true kit has its own value and they will often have their own tested and true kit already.

Another great video good sir. I agree that you are buying the kit so the person buying does not have to make one themselves. I am the same way. I build my own kits

I really like the bag, the NOAA radio, the masks, the organization and the flashlight. Everything else is basically Walmart.

All I need to do is to grab one of my backpack's and I'm good for a long time. The food would be good for 10 days , possibly longer if I pick/pack the right stuff. To top it off , I get to enjoy the outdoors and be comfortable.

Another thing that would be nice in any of these type of kits is some fishing line and hooks. Small ..compact...easy to store.

Simple factory additions I think it should have. survival book in the compartment below the thermos. chocolate bars (6) and tea bags (6) in the food pouch Wysi Wype type compressed towels (6 to 12) compass and better whistle Thermos should have a screw on cup top. 2 simple folding cups 2 small strobe type flashing lights Maybe a mountain house type meal or 3 in the big bag. And all the other stuff he mentioned.

I started typing a big comment about my opinion on this, what I was surprised was missing, and what I would add, but honestly you said and did all that I wanted in your review and kitbashing after showing everything. I'll still say that for this price I'm still floored that there was only chinese-made tools (that's where branding everything in their name comes in handy, it covers for it if you don't look closer) no compass, no whistle and overall nothing in the signalization department besides 2 glow sticks and how the water and food was lacking a bit. Also, something I haven't seen in your "kit bashing" nor in other pre-made kits but I see as quite important: In this day and age, a smartphone and/or electronics in general are some of the most useful tool you can have (on top of the rest ofc), and a survival away from home / get home situation may happen in an urban or at least "peripheral" environment, not just the "lost in the woods with no reception anyway" scenario. (Phones can still be useful without signal anyway). I know solar chargers are still heavy, very slow and a bit weather-dependent, so less than ideal, but why not include at least one *energy bank* ? Right now they're already pretty inexpensive, come in shapes and sizes that are easy to pack: flat and rectangular or tube-like. They can stock more than a full charge and make your device operational again in a few minutes after the first few percents have been repleted. It's definitely something I'd add to most kits nowadays.

I actually have added power banks to several kits I’ve reviewed. It just depends on the size of the kit sometimes.

Great review. Apart from going to bed constantly repeating ""uncharted supply co" LOL. Overall nice gear but very expensive pack, & missing the things you mention editing. Love the outer bag & inner compartments folder. Do they post their products using their own branded postal service too 😂

For the over branding some company's if you buy their products in bulk they can put your logo on them- often for a lot less money than buying the gear from company 1 and then sending it to company 2.
