Join my buddy Andy, his son Drew and myself as we make our second trip down Limestone Creek from I-565 to Limestone Bay in Mooresville, Alabama. Andy and I first did this in October of 2021, but it had a few more obstacles. We still had a blast!!

Hi Dan, What a fantastic paddling trip through beautiful nature. Despite a few fallen trees, a good adventure is never without its challenges.

Great trip, Dan. Looked like a combination of paddling and obstacle course. Thanks for sharing, brother.

Nice to see you in the Dagger! Can’t paddle this weekend. Waiting on my hand to heal so this was a great way to start my day! Hope you have a great Father Day!

A late happy Father's Day, Mack! I hope your camping trip went great- that's awesome! The portages weren't too bad. Every now and then they're good for stretching the legs...lol!! Blessings, my friend!

Hate that ya got beat up on the FB. You did the right thing getting off when you did. You were so close to Hot Springs, thats a really cool place just to hang out. Pretty sure you could have made it down section 10 and 11. Ten is really beautiful. 9 and 10 are the only sections I have ever done. Been going there since the late 70s

That's awesome!! And thank you. Yes, I was not ready for that river on that trip. There will be another day. Pete had talked me into camping, portaging around 9, then joining them after, but by the end of the day I was done. With the rain they had overnight Sunday it was definitely not an easy finish. Thank you!

Cool trip, wish I could have joined y’all. This insurance claim mess is getting the best of me and now I have an accident claim. Hey maybe you need to add an electric sawzall or chainsaw to your edc gear bag for these jungle trips 🤓

Lol- i usually take a folding saw with me, but I got lazy and didn't grab it. Lesson learned! Yeah, saw the damage on FB. I hate that, Brian- that's just an all-around pain to have to deal with. Hope you get it sorted out soon, bro!

Nice! You're in my hood. This used to have nice flow after rains. Definitely need to bring saws. There is a put in at Mooresville at the first bridge or you can go to the Limestone Bay boat launch in the same relative direction. Gators have been spotted all the way up to that bridge in Mooresville. Most of them hang out near the junction of Limestone Creek and the Tennessee River though. I might make take some time and clear some of those downed trees one day. It's a nice shaded creek.

Sweet!! Yes, there's so many great places to paddle around Limestone Bay and I've put in at both of those places. And the biggest gator I've personally seen was where you said- down from the boat launch towards the river. Thanks Biff!!

Oh no...LOL! I've not been on an inflatable, but I'd like to try one sometime. It can get real cluttered in there! It was worse this time than the first time we did it, but it was still fun!
