He's pretty damn good. I grew up with a childhood friend too, his name is Les Paul Deal. His father is Robert deal aka Mick Mars from Motley Crue. He used to teach us how to play guitar when I was a kid.

He does an awesome job on this song. He may no be the original but you know what I FEEL..I feel him, his energy, the crowd, the nostalgia of all the memories flooding into my mind from my younger years. I may have been Hell bent with an attitude but I remember floating down the river, driving the country roads hearing this song and instantly my attitude left me…😉I have a lump in my throat right now…💕

I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone else do a cover of drift away. Dopy Gray had such a unique voice & I remember this song...it was a big hit at that time. I don’t think I’d like this as much as I do if it were covered a by The Uncle or done with Doby. Brings back many happy memories.
