Personally when I tell people where to start in the bible, I recommend starting in Romans. It tells you who Jesus is, what He did on the cross for us, and how God expects us to live our lives. Which is love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul, and might, and love your neighbor as yourself. And for those who are confused to what God means by the word love, agape love, read 2 Corinthians 13. John is also a good one to start in, but I prefer Romans. Romans is the book of my saving grace because I identify a lot with Paul. I only became born again August 20, 2020. God taught me He was real through Revelation, Isaiah, and Daniel. Romans taught me how I need to live my life and kill my past so it doesn't affect my present and future. It's been a struggle like no other, i'm not gonna lie, but it's been so worth it every step of the way!
