Over The Top is actually based on the greatest arm wrestler they were talking about earlier, John Brzenk. He was a smaller frame in comparison with all the other heavyweights of the time. The little David destroying all the goliaths, as portrayed in the movie. John was actually behind the scene, working with Sly, choreographing all the arm wrestling scenes.

But I've drug him into the 2000's as gracefully as I could! 20 years and counting & the day I die I will say it hasn't been enough time to be married to my man, cowboy, gentleman, horseman, teamroper, hunter, trapper, and professor of energy sciences that prove 'green energy' is a pipe dream from hell. He can't smell much either after being a Beekeeper for 23 years!

I'd rightfully argue Strongman. It isn't mainstream yet, and it's the most unique strength sport along with being the greatest test of strength in the world. I do like arm-wrestling, these two sports are the only one I can follow, politics and BLM have infected all the others.

Yeah, the Hodge Twins are only Conservative, not "Christian" as they claim to be. They're still very vulgar, profane, and show nothing of leading a life of Christ. I don't dislike them, but it'd be very misguided to think the Hodge Twins would be a good "Christian" candidate for the podcast. I'm surprised Michael Todd got on here, he's the exact same way. Profane, very insecure, and has nothing to show for his "Christianity" that he claims.

He did. He's still the WAL champion unless he loses in the WAL. Also interesting is, like world's strongest man, if you win a world championship you are a world champion even if not the current title holder. Michael has mentioned his faith on his KZbin channel and, like all of us, has had many moments where one wouldn't think he was a Christian.

There's a reason no one knew: he never lead that life in the first place. Even if his decision was recent, he still hasn't shown any indication of having a life with Christ. I'm actually surprised he got on here. The Robertsons usually get somebody on to promote their ministry, share their testimony, etc., but never as a guest to entertain.

I’m struggling to have faith and it’s getting to me
@A-A-RonDavis24703 жыл бұрын
To be frank, it is the fact you haven't developed a mature relationship with Christ yet. It takes time to gain that trust for the Lord and for whatever He has in store for us. Lack of faith, trust, and love for the Lord is just a lack of relationship with Him. It can also be a root demon still prevalent in your life that you haven't submitted to God yet and made efforts to be repentant. I don't know your situation, but those are the basic reasons. Sin separates us from God. Reading the Bible, praying, acknowledging God in everything (daily life, creation, situation, etc) and general worship is what gets us closer to Him.
@Katie-jv6gw3 жыл бұрын
@@A-A-RonDavis2470 I’m working on my relationship with him my prayers feel like they get ignored and it hard for me to trust him
@A-A-RonDavis24703 жыл бұрын
@@Katie-jv6gw your prayers don't get ignored. I can't give every possible reason in a comment, but there's many layers to this: He can say "Yes, but not now." Or, "Yes, it's happening." People aren't used to understanding how to deal with this, but God says NO for many reasons and I think pretty much every time is because of the one praying or what they're praying about. God might say no because you could simply be praying for things that have no value to His Plan for you. He might say no because you're praying about things with selfish intention and don't have the perspective of prayer being dialogue instead of a Santa's list of gifts to request. He might say no because your current lifestyle is sin-ridden and He's constantly cleaning your life out and you are jumping the gun on what you desire, meaning you're too immature for the things that you're requesting. In any case, He will give you the peace, telling you that He heard, but that doesn't mean it will happen. There's structure in how believers should pray, and it starts with thanksgiving. The "Hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come" verses on the Lord's Prayer is a TEMPLATE on how we should pray, we shouldn't really be sitting and repeating that specific prayer. It's generic and isn't specific to our personal dialogue with Jesus. Imagine reading a teleprompter in front in your friends and expecting them to go with it. You talk with them organically. The teacher is quiet during a test. You may not get a bunch of words from God, or even anything, during this time because He has to have YOU make that effort to get closer to Him. There may be something in your prayers that will take YEARS to come to fruition. Days, months, weeks, it doesn't matter, but you should ultimately desire GOD'S Will over everything, and with God being a Perfect God, we shouldn't have doubts and fears over that. Trying to take control over our lives and trying to pray about things we want to happen for our lives to go the way WE want to is actually pride. We're too haughty to admit we need God and His Guidance, and submit to His Will for our lives. Like I said, I don't know everything about you and your life, but it's probably a combination of you not being in the place to hear God's Word for your life, relationship not being tended to enough, and/or God not enabling something that's keeping you away from Him. Sin is by nature a separater from God. Trust me, a lot of people go through that, me included, but knowing more about God and reading His Word will open up the problems and questions you may have.
