Purchased all four with a 30% discount and they are worth every penny. I have a ton of VST's, but Omnisphere is my main synth. I really don't need anything else as far as synthesis goes. The Unclean Machine sounds are actually good several genres. This was probably my best purchase in a long time. I'll get a lot of use from these extensions.

I agree! Omnisphere is so vast and essentially the SE's make it easy to get to where you need to go quickly.

I really hope they keep that discount into place. I'd definitely be able to get all four. I have Keyscape, Trillian, and Omnisphere. When they came out with Bob Moog's Tribute library 2.0 I purchased it right away and I'm still having fun with it. With these Sonic Extensions I'll still have my favorite go to sounds from other plugins but with these I'm sure I'll rarely use anything else. Omni will be my main sound as it's starting to become now. This will drive it over the edge!

As is the case with your reviews of the other four Sonic Extension plugins, this is a fabulous review with an amazingly detailed & unfiltered (*) assessment of the usefulness & quality of this particular extension! You even answered a question I was about to type (re: using these Sonic Extension effects elsewhere in Omnisphere & outside of Omnisphere).👍👍Thank you! 😀😀 (*) For the life of me, I cannot remember the name of the philosopher who said the following...it wasn't Whitehead, but is often attributed to him...I'll paraphrase it... ' The only men who are unbiased are those who wear tombstones for hats.' i.e., your reviews are fantastic & "unfiltered", but not "unbiased". 🤓
@VultureCulture3 жыл бұрын
That is definitely true! In a hurry to record these videos I misspoke. I am biased, I love Omnisphere, and even buying the products probably changes my opinion in subtle ways (sunk costs fallacy). What I mean to say is you're hearing what I think is true, even if I'm delusional 😆
@derekbaker32793 жыл бұрын
@@VultureCulture lol 😂 You certainly are not delusional! You are extremely perceptive, intelligent, knowledgeable & well-spoken. And my comment re "bias" was meant more in fun than a serious criticism. Just keep doing what you're doing, as it's enjoyable & very illuminating (even with 'dark' music 😉 ) 👍👍

At $49 per extension I might have been more intrigued... especially after the $499 mandatory investment. $149? Ugh. The sonic extensions are a swing and a miss for me.
@VultureCulture3 жыл бұрын
Spectrasonics has never been the cheapest. They're about $100 a piece if you buy three or more, which is less painful if you already have Omnisphere.
@armandocardenas50293 жыл бұрын
But like other romplers like Nexus 3 is $249 with basic content no xps the xps are $65 with 130 presets if you make the math you get more with ominisphere plus 2 Fx and the end of the day you are the producer and sound designer.

Not buying. I already bought Omnisphere three times... (Atmosphere/Omni1/Omni2). I'm tired of buying the same product over and over. This would have been a huge success if it was simply an addition to Omnisphere and provided at no cost. Just my opinion, I could be wrong. Your mileage may vary.
@VultureCulture3 жыл бұрын
I hear you. Spectrasonics have never been the cheapest on the block. For me these purchases at $100 a pop feel pretty reasonable, I didn't begrudge Omni2 because of how much was in it, and all of the free updates we've had since.
@SpectrasonicsVIDEO3 жыл бұрын
This bizarre comment really makes no sense and needs clarifying to set the record straight. At Spectrasonics, we’ve had very reasonable paid upgrades from the original Atmosphere (2002) to Omnisphere (20008) and from Omnisphere 1 to Omnisphere 2 (2015). NOONE had to buy them new at full price multiple times! In fact, Atmosphere (2002) had only 1,000 sounds…Omnisphere 2.8 (2021) now has 15,000 sounds! (most of which we have added for free btw). The list of new features, new FX and support added in the last 20 years is also a mile long. So saying that you’re buying the same product over and over is frankly inaccurate and extremely misleading. We have been and will happily continue to be very generous with our users. :-)
