Should we be copycat designers or create more original logo designs? What do you think?

I think creating more original designs would be good because if we are copycat designers people will know that we are just trying to copy designs and also great designs like LV, Gucci, Fendi . etc.. Those designs that we are trying to copy, we don't know the origin of them like not all people know the history of Coca-Cola. My point is we as designers we should put a lot of effort in making our own designs. Sorry this comment is a long one, just found out your channel and i know this channel are really 4 the creatives

Thank you I've gotten a totally different shift in perspective about research. After getting brand attributes I just look at other logo design inspiration through that lense but now I'll experiment with this idea ❤

I loved your vision of understanding the story behind each logo and what the company want to present. When someone ask me for a logo, I always like to take inspiration first by looking at the logos from other companies in the same niche to understand what do they like to focus on, or what the colors do they use. Then I make mood board and start sketching and trying out things on Illustrator. :)

Agreeee! Everyone tells me to look at other ideas and I NEVER do it. I first research and imagine and then sketch. After i have done my work i compare ;)

I really love the content of this video. It gave me the insight associated with creating of company's logos. This is quite amazing. Yeah, being copycat or create a whole new logo,I think it depends on the Graphics Designer and some underlying factors. But as for me, creating a new logo will be very tasking, though it'll worth the stress at the end.
