You’re so cruel! Don’t keep those predators. Poor the little feeding fish.

Wont you have to have cooler water for those northern fish? 🤔
@UnconventionalAquatics4 жыл бұрын
You know I got plenty of ice cubes! Lmao, they actually do great with tropical conditions, I’ve been keeping the temp at 80 for my normal QT process and meds once that’s done I’m going to remove the heater completely

Think about where native fishes live: Canada to South Florida. Winters can be brutal. Summers are sweltering. Natives are genetically encoded to withstand, nay thrive, in a wide range of climate conditions. Always maintain good aeration for stream fishes, with sufficient food, nearly all can thrive at higher temps. There is a limited number that will not tolerate extended warm periods: Trouts, Sculpins, and certain species that only occur in cool, northern waters. Grass Pickerel and Chain Pickerel both range from Canada to Florida, so thrive in very cold and very warm conditions.

He’s doing great, super skiddish but from what I hear that’s normal, he has some insane color too, once I run a worm treatment through him as a precaution, I’m going to move him into the fish garage.
