It gives me a warm glow inside to find people in the States so in love with our British made cars. It is such a shame that so much of that skill has been lost over here. I saw cars on this video that I was totally unaware of. Unfortunately the 60’s saloons were badge engineered versions which let down their reputation. I went on my honeymoon in an 1100 Austin; they drove well but had design flaws including the universal joints which failed far too early! One went on my hired one and was replaced at the side of the road by a repairman, around midnight, in central London. The hire company were amazed that anyone would tackle such a job! Perhaps he was sympathetic to a couple of young honeymooners…..

Nice collection 😊 my first car was a 1967 MGB, I got it off my grandfather’s estate, I didn’t even know how to shift the car properly!!! Since then, I’ve owned and MG- TC and I rebuilt and MGA. My brother owned a MGC with three carbs too, nice car.

So nice to see MGs on your channel again - and what MGs! It is always interesting to see what you are up to but as I am into MGs myself having restored a TD this winter I really enjoy all these wonderful cars.

Enjoyed seeing Mr Klemm's MG collection and learned more about MG's. I restored a 53 MGTD twenty plus years ago and love to drive it when ever I get free time. MG's are so much fun to drive.

The Magnette was one of the overall series known as the Farina Series. There was Austin, Morris, MG and Wolseley variants, and also a big Vanden Plas Farina, BMC's attempt at hitting the luxury market. Here in Australia we also had a variant known as the Freeway, BMC's attempt at competing with Ford and Holden, but it was only a four, and Aussies wanted six cylinder engines, so it didn't really succeed. But, Steve, thanks for introducing us to these lovely people and their wonderful old cars!
@Ribeirasacra

There was also a Riley version of the BMC Farina. The BMC Freeway used the 6 cylinder blue steak engine?

If you check out the Peugeot 404 you'll see that Pininfarina did well out of one single design. They sold it to two separate companies!

@@crashbox7130 Indeed they did, I owned two 404s back in the seventies, wonderful cars, and a 'crisper' interpretation of that shape, in my opinion..

An absolutely beautiful collection of British cars spanning many decades, and these were only the ones you showed us, with many more in various states of repair-disrepair still to see. It was great to here that they are still driven, that's what cars were made for. I understand the need to preserve, and keep safe, though to actually drive them and still enjoy driving them is something that honours the vehicles and everyone who manufactured them. This was a very pleasurable & pleasing video Steve., thank you mate.

True enthusiasts and very nice people so glad the Klemm's let you do the video of their collection. The Healey bugeye racer needs to be in the company of all of your Healey Bugeye racers. Just a thought.

It's so nice to see someone committed to restoring these cars to their original condition, and not tempted to maul them around by fitting modern engines or gearboxes. I wonder how many people today would be able to cope, let alone enjoy driving that gorgeous SA with a crash gearbox?

That is a great collection. I am starting my KZbin channel with a 1928 Morgan RIP MG Special 3 wheeler with 4 wheels. The next project is a 1933 MG Magnette Boat tail and I am deciding to either use the 4 cylinder MG engine I have or to use a Triumph 6 cylinder or maybe blasphemous Packard straight 8 with a supercharger. I have a couple projects to get done first.

This subset alone is pretty serious! I thought I was the only guy in USA with a Farina Magnette parked next to an 1100. An M-Type is on my shopping list and this guy’s got two! The Westminster MG Museum was a one-of-each MG museum in Vermont owned by Abingdon Spares/Gerry Gougen, and it was very much the same spirit. Rare MGs, a little dusty, and very much loved by all. Shame it’s gone. This might be best MG collection in USA right now.
