I think when Nintendo said there would be no more major free updates I think they said that because they don't want us to get excited for another major update which may not happen... In this video I can see they could be preparing the area for another update since the rounding of corners makes no sense if we don't get to see it so yeah it very well could be a hint at another update is coming....

Wow that's very interesting. I honestly do hope they will add another DLC in the future, I learned to never fully trust what Nintendo says so I'm hopeful haha. Especially since they went through the efforts making those changes and released them

She might not be able to. I’m pretty sure you have to be online to initially do the dlc, which you can’t really do on a hacked switch. But I might be overthinking things. I do agree though

They said the HHP was going to be the last DLC for New Horizons and it's pretty obvious that the main purpose of HHP is to fund upgrades to Nintendo Switch Online.

I don't agree. I feel most people will buy the DLC outright than pay for a monthly subscription. Unless you actually want all the other perks from the upgraded service.

Does anyone remember when Nintendo made the original Super Mario Maker on the Wii and announced that this was the "END TO THEIR MARIO SERIES." I was heartbroken. I was like whaaaat? They said with this game there would be absolutely no need for any new Mario games or even old ones. Well, we all know how that ended. Nintendo is generally about the bottom line. I can't see them just ending animal crossing updates but we will see. It may take a few Christmas's but eventually, they will get hungry again imo.

That is a paid dlc, so isn’t a proper update. They did say that 2.0 would be the last free major update, so that suggest that there could be more but would cost.
