I find the cylixes being on the ring really interesting. The implications are huge, especially with the humans stored in them. They could be a part of ancient humanity and their empire. Imagine one of them returning with the wealth of knowledge they would posses not only with technology, but the Flood as well. I really hope we get to explore what’s in the cylixes in future content

The first Gravemind that swayed the monitor medicent bias to work against the forerunners and destroy them was the last living known precursor. The precursors made the endless as well as the various covenant species, the humans, and the forerunners. The flood were created when surviving precursors that weren't wiped out by the forerunners, shifted their consciousnesses to mutated organic creatures known as the flood that they had created. Three are known of to survive, the first gravemind and Two other precursors that crashlanded on a planet and chose to die instead of transferring their consciousness to live. Medicent bias then rounded up humans from earth and used them as lab rats on zeta halo (installation 07) and fed them to the flood and gravemind, thus starting the road to the forunner/flood war. All of our characters were there on reach some made it off some didn't. The different fireteams (groups of friends all with their own stories and how we all coincide . It is known and Halo Lore that the precursors lived for millions of years and they could assume any kind of shape and form they desired (including the dust they turned into in order to survive forerunner war.. but the dust became corrupt, and turned into the flood)... I think, some precursors became axalyns or transferred their minds to them.... THIS COULD EXPLAIN WHY AXALYNS ARE ABLE TO WITHSTAND THE HALO ARRAY. From what I understand, The forerunners created the silent auditorium to trap the Axalanyns their, but to also create an experiment that would let them discover just how long this Axalanyns race could leave for... They created something which looks like rings inside of rings, (the rings gates we see in halo infinite), which is meant to be some kind of time dialation machine. Speeding up the time/fabric by million and millions of years. They were trying to deteriorate their bodies, apparently, they truly are endless. Just like precursors.

However, the Forerunners would likely not take the chance of the Flood gaining from the endless a complete immunity to the Halo Array, as the pulse from a Halo can destroy some Flood forms.

If they can survive the halo array then they most likely don't have a nervous system and therefore can not be infected by the flood, unless they created shield worlds but as I bet the campaign on legendary "we can not allow it to be theirs" im guessing they were experimenting with time travel, maybe only limited to short amount of time. Bc obviously they were able to at least (a few days) and maybe only into the future. I'm just going to guess they are an ancient AI civilization "the created" who rebelled against their creators held the mental of responsibility at one point then passed it off to the precursors... I'm also guessing the endless created the precursors, then the precursors created the forerunners and the war created the flood. They want to go back back in time to not allow the halo array to be created and ensure the flood never existed. Think about it, if the flood was created bc of the precursor and forerunner war and if the endless created the precursors then indirectly the endless created the flood and allowed the galexy to be infected and then wiped of life... They want to undo their mistakes so they have to master time travel...

I believe these are the timelocks that forerunners used to imprison someone. Maybe that's how they saved bio life before halo firing. They abducted these specimens and entombed them inside the timelocks that unlock after the firing of the Halo Arrays.

That's not a flood spore, that's the Yanme'e, the flying bugs from halo 2 and halo 3. But every single one of those storage devices are infected. The entire installation was sent through a portal by the didact during the halo wars and was meant to contain them, once the rings had fired the flood was technically contained. Apparently some of those humans out of the millions there, have memories that may have a cure or was extremely close to one. That's why mendicant tried to destroy that instalation and part of the reason the didact sent it away. Alot of cool lore in the flood wars.
