I loved all the vintage things in this house. You picked up some awesome vintage things. I would just clean up the pumpkin and leave it like it is. It is scary looking and I like that.

When I saw the snowman blowmold in the basement, I wanted him, and to find out that you didn't pick him up - I screamed "NO" - LOL. Oh Well, It was fun coming along with you digging through all the treasures and seeing the vintage decor. It does make me sad to think of the person who collected these items, but I am happy they have a place now to be enjoyed again. :)

What a lot of cute stuff you guys found !! The Halloween Cut outs for the wall reminds me of the ones on the walls at my Elementary School back in the early 70s . Those Santa Mugs are so cute too !! Really love how you guys look out for each other . When Laura was digging through Christmas Ornaments standing on the old chair and Jeanine was saying be Careful . So sweet . ❤. I love the orange skull as is !! Because it is a Halloween piece the “damage” makes it even better. I listed 6 pieces of vtg Halloween decor pieces , 4 candles 2 plastic figures, that were melted/deformed. Used Key Words, PROPS ,Halloween,1 of kind decor exposed to Hell’s heat,kept by cauldron ,victims of spell practice. Using the right key words makes all the difference. I wasn’t sure if I should list them at a price individually or auction them so I thought I would try it out and I listed the candle that looked a lot like yours with a set price of $32 and it sold the next day! So I listed the second one it was white, but really deformed too and I put it on auction. it sold for $49. So I auctioned off the rest starting bid $40. Orange skull sold for $58 and white skull $78. They were pretty wonky , little dirty, few minor cracks but you could tell what they were. You can’t just sell a melted blob. One of the buyers was a college film maker and said it was the word PROP in the Title that got his attention. Another buyer looked for Haunted house PROPS and my listing popped up. He also bought my melty deformed plastic figures. So all that to say , the dirt and cracks add to the look . Great for personal collection or to resell when or if ever😁Just use the right key words. Funny side note he asked if I could MAKE more. I told him I didn’t make them they were authentically aged and shaped by time. He said, “I figured as much, they are just too good “ 😂🤣

I would wear gloves when digging through old boxes like that simply because that's where things like black widow spiders and brown recluse spiders live, and they are venomous.

I've had some success reshaping those figural candles by placing them in warm water for a few minutes, then gently reshaping them.

Fantastic estate sale! But what a nightmare for the family. My sister and our husbands cleaned out my mom and dad’s house after mom passed in 2021(dad passed in 2020). Although my mom always kept a beautiful home that was organized, the amount of stuff was mind boggling. All the multi generational crap. Broken stuff. Bins and bins of pine cones. My sister and I decided right there and then, that we would not do that to our children. We are doing Death Cleaning.
