Excellent talks on this platform. I have been intrigued by Jung for almost two decades. Most of my experience was, I now know, delusional. Falling prey to the 'cult of Jung' the excessive admiration, dare I say the worship of him as a deity. The spell has been broken, I am free thankfully, to live my own life. Tremendous respect to Pauline, Steve and of course James.

Brilliant of course! This is the only work I’ve encountered that matches my own realizations and actualization to date in my life. I’ve got an amazing story to share about my Anima and the work that came about. I’d love to share it with you if you ever wish to make some time to share. It would be fascinating to see what you and Steven have to say about it. You’re the only ones I’ve had a sense could relate to it without just trying to turn it into some dry analytical process. You might enjoy seeing where I’m at, without having had any help along the way.

Your channel is so amazing, what beautiful work you are doing! The explorations of Anima and Animus are deep and enriching. Looking around at the various videos you have posted, I haven't seen anything about the Anima and Animus as they relate to gay men and lesbians. And I'd love to see something for transgendered folks, perhaps the stories of the two-spirited people's in different cultures! I wonder whether this is something you would consider doing. Thanks again for such generous contributions you are making!

Thanks Cetacean Hope. To some extent, we’ve been constrained by the mainstream and legacy perspective on Jung’s original concepts. We’ve re-defined the Anima and Animus as the ‘Relating Function and System’,, to show that the original constructs are actually embedded within a far wider relational ecology, and so are gender - independent. Sexual orientation is part of relating, both inner and outer, but does not define the bandwidth of human experience. Gender as identity sits at the core of self-reflexivity, and hence of relating. Apart from a statistical representation, there’s no priority as such for any modality of relating, as expressed by any individual or group. What we’ve attempted to do, is firstly widen out Jung’s original constructs to embrace their wider domain, and free them from the effects of his personal psychology and its development. This has been done on strictly empirical grounds. There’s plenty of room for refinement in the resolution of this, in consideration of any and all lived experience by any individual. Indeed, that is the sine qua non of any therapeutic relationship. Thanks so much for your comment. Kindest Regards Steve🙏

@@JungToLiveBy Thank you Steve! What you have offered here is really helpful to me and I'm even more inspired to explore. It's far more expansive than I have tried to imagine and understand - which I love. An ever-unfolding path. Back to the videos!
