I own one. It`s a honour to have one. It`s awesome, it`s just everything you can wish from a real motorcycle

I bought a 2024 V7 STONE model TEN 850 before they go away. Fantasic bike that is loads of fun. The engine is a gem too. Runs smooth a 4000-4500 RPM all day and with tons of flexible torque. Just pick a gear to get it there and go. Oh yes, I also own the V100S so don't get on my case about retro and new stuff. The V7 nails retro perfectly for me. I like the digital dash (some don't) and checkerboard white tank. But MG gives a lot of choices in the V7 line so there is a livery for everyone. Why own both? They are opposites. The V100S yells at you to get into the SPORT mode and ride it hard. The V7 is more into the ride itself and to enjoy that zen moment and not the fastest way to the end of the trip. The V7 talks to you in all the right ways. The V7 has a rumble at idle that scares the V100S tqat has a hushed puff, puff, puff. But as they are opposite, at wide-open throttle the V100S screams like a 1969 442 GTO and the V7 goes into a turbine like hushed whir overtone. Neither are loud at steady state cruise but opposites on full honk. Like the MGX-21, the V7's 850 engine is amazingly smooth. I find myself at 65 MPH in 4th gear and 4500 RPM. It is that smooth at speed in the sweet spot. The best way to look at the V7 is it is a comemerative bike that is a fake, an imposter, built with modern bones, it just look old. And works like a modern bike. This is like the MGX-21, a modern build to a unique and older platform. I'm really glad I got a bug to buy the V7 STONE model TEN. I'm sure that MGX-21 owners are still happy with their rides for all the same reasons. Sometimes new isn't improved where it counts, how do you feel riding it?

@@Rower30-ye6qn extremely well explained and always exciting chatting to another MG enthusiast. There is something really intangible special about these bikes. I too have a few V7 750 and the V7 Centenario and their ride is as you explain. The MGX with its 1400 motor is rough yet smooth, modern yet old school, torque for days and just something you either fall in love with or hate, nothing inbetween. For me looks are sooo unique that it’s grown on me and I love it, the ride is comfortable and the engine vibrations hark back to the old school, yet all the modern safety with rider modes, however not too much electronics to be too intrusive. Ride safe 🙏👍🏻

When you said 'red head' on the engine of course you meant Testarossa!

If it’s spent 4 years created do you need to immediately do an oil change or are the original factory fluids still ok? Beautiful bike btw.

I suggest flush it all out and do a proper once over 💪

Can you please tell me if I can buy these carbon front wheels for my 2014 California ? If so how much will they cost? In euros ? A ballpark idea will really really help! Will eagerly wait for your revert, if I change the front wheel, do I have to change the back too? It’s better and safer to go for a pair!

I’m no expert but I think the MGX has a different rake angle than a 2014 which I own. The wheels wouldn’t be interchangeable. I have ridden both bikes and prefer the stock 2014 handling. Just my two cents.
