It's just a term to describe players that have a deep understanding of the game, or at least an understanding. IQ isn't really measured either. "Systematically", "within the scientific community". It's heavily based on science and mathematics, with little creative problem solving and a decent amount of memory. It's a very good indicator but it is far from perfect. Great for say predicting inventors/innovators. Not for those who end up eventually deciding what happens with those inventions.

By that logic, mamba mentality (determination) probably doesn't exist because it can't be measured.
