When I start cleaning I usually tackle the easy, smaller messes first to feel like I’m achieving more things faster. Makes me feel motivated to tackle the bigger, messier rooms later. So I usually start with the bathroom and end with the kitchen or living room.

In a Mexican home we usually take down our xmas decorations after Jan 6. That is an actual holiday in Mexico that we still celebrate here in the US today (Three Kings Day). Love how your home is coming along reminds me of when we first got our fixer upper. 🏚💞 Keep them videos coming! 🤍

For the entryway I would hang the mirror on the wall leave the top of the dresser empty except for a bowl to catch her keys, and maybe a plant,just use it as a place to keep things you need as you're coming and going.

The bench fits perfectly in the dining table. It definitely belongs there also, I’m loving how the entryway desk looks way more. The white with black handles contrast the black walls much better and that mirror hung up definitely ties in the flow of the rest of the house! Loving what you’re doing with house.

I normally take my decorations down 12/31 but this year I waited until the 2nd week of January. I feel Christmas always goes and come so fast I really wanted to enjoy decorations a little while longer and I think it will be my new tradition considering my birthday is 1/3 and anniversary 1/7. I keep my house picked up at all times because I hate clutter. It is something I instilled in my children. A picked up house looks like a clean house even if you haven't dusted or vacuumed in a long time. Everything has a place and when I am through using something it immediately goes back in its place. I also clean while I cook -- countertops, rinse out dirty dishes, etc. I don't clean my whole house at one time. One day it might be the bathroom, another day I dust in every room, vacuum another day. Again, a day to wipe up the floors. See where I'm going? The only schedule is changing my bedding every Sunday. This is just the way I have done my cleaning since I had my first home and I am still doing it at 79 years old.

Can I just recommend that you paint your entry way doors or all your doors an off white or slightly darker white with maybe a warm gray undertone so that there's a bit less of a contrast against the black walls? It will really complement the black and give it a softer look. I'm an interior designer btw. Love you and your channel ❤️

I would paint that brick wall the same black as the entryway, the bench added to the dining room was a awesome choice. can you put the extra chair (4th chair) on the other side with the 3rd chair? never would have thought a Ikea sofa looked so good and its cheap! im slipping on IKea.

I think you buy so many beautiful items that you wanna use them all at the same time. Then things tend to look cluttered. I love the blk entranceway, the light fixture and the bench does look better at the table. I would say no to the wht cabinet and yes to the mirror. A 12"× 72" wiast height glass and metal (like the fixture) entranceway table would look great. PS. Not everything need to be symmetrical. It just need balance.

Hung up the mirror over the little white dresser in ur entry way, that looks better than just leaving it on it plus if anyone bump it, it won't fall off and break, also get rid of some of the picture frames because they make the area look too clustered.

Happy New Year! Decorations are down the first week of the new year. For the entryway I would do a small bench with storage & room for shoes. I would also include a floating shelf with hooks for coats & bags. Some else mentioned the same. Try opposite wall so that’s not the first thing you see when entering

A little over a year ago, I bought a house around the same age as yours. My goal for this year is the kitchen. The cabinets are good...just need repainting but the orange countertop has to go. I would suggest a small command center in the entryway on the opposite wall. With hooks for coats, hats, and umbrellas and a storage bench to sit on and also keep shoes in.

When you get your covers for your couches please go buy some Scotch Guard spray from Home Depot to spray them. This will help the longevity of material from permanent stains and spills.

I guess I am late in telling what I think of the hallway arrangement with the mirror, but I a. Just now seeing this video and a new subscriber. Here goes anyway…I love your arrangement, however I think the mirror would look better actually mounted higher up on the wall. I also think the dark wall would look better and pop being painted white or gray white or done with white shiplap or white bead board. 🤷🏾‍♀️💞🤷🏾‍♀️
