I remember the first local tournament I ever won many moons ago. My opponent was playing Deranged Hemit and I was playing Mirari’s Wake. Turn 3 he flips his deck, EoT I Cunning Wish for an Inspiration and then I cast it targeting him. I’ll never forget the pop off from the people watching.

Btw, timestamp 38:40 you lost because you went for a Relay that didn’t work. Did you miss that you were able to hardcast the Echo out of hand using 2 rituals and with 2 black floating? I’ve seen another 5-0 list this week where you used a Peer side. Which list did you like more =)?

@@timvanderlans7955 I’ve used approach a bunch this week. I just posted an example to the storm discord where I beat Veil + Consign with Approach. I knew I could echo but why would I refill the opponents hand when I can relay?

In addition, the frog in play would be lethal if the Echo with no mana fizzles

their hand was already refilled to 7 by the previous Echo. A new hand with 2 B floating should have a chance. But yes, an average Relay that big should be good enough too.

OK, so, here's a great talking point, talk to us more about the usage of Vexing Bauble in a deck like this, where is seems to me very counterintuitive to run, considering how many zero casting cost spells you have, versus the advantages and what it is used against!

At 38:29 you go for a relay (5 storm) when you also have mana to hardcast echo with BB floating. Since they are tapped out and Veil of Summer resolved I would be inclined to push my advantage to try to win before they can untap to hold up consign. In hindsight the relay wasn’t great, but would you make that play again?
