I have a ZTE Sporo 2 which is about 4 years old, they don't sell them anymore but you can find them on ebay for about $250. The projector is only a 720P but looks really good and this projector can stream Bluetooth to a soundbar, you can also download any app just like any android phone. The projector also has a built in battery if you choose to carry it somewhere there is not a plug available. I carry mine along with 2 JBL Xtreme speakers, which I pair as a left and right speaker, whenever we go camping or watch the game outside.

It was mainly because of the way the ports/cables were set up on the projector. The tight space between the wall and shelf didn't allow for much maneuvering, so I was stuck with where the cables were coming from .

1080P projectors start at around $400. There are very few projectors that are native 4K, all cost thousands of dollars. Pay the extra money for a WXGA projector or even a 720P projector. Staples has a portable one going for $250. That's is as good as you are going to get before you cross into SVGA territory and lower.

I totally agree with the need to buy a cheap projector since you have a high definition screen in your living room and you only need some distraction probably so you can relax and fall asleep. So I give him credit on that. By the way the view is incredible, I think I would have made of this room a nice cozy office so I could enjoy the view from my desk sitting on a comfortable office chair :)

Just make sure your budget projectors are at least 720p native and at least 3000 lumens .just saying. The price difference is not that much but the upgrade is very very noticeable. Eg the Gp100 comes in at just over $100 or the cheerlux cl720 at $100 or less depending on where you buy

You can make these projectors look 3x better simply by calibrating the colors, contrast ect when you first get it. Use your laptop, go to the same colorful website and adjust your projector until it looks close. This will take away that bluish color, and washed out look. take the time to set it up right people.

Try and find a DLP projector. Even with low resolution 1024X768 will look far better. I have found some on ebay for around $70 with over 50% OEM bulb life. For fun I recently bought a Brookstone DLP iphone 4s projector for $10 in box and in a dark room puts out a good picture. DLP is the way to go.

I've literally done the same thing man, it really is the way to go just for a simple bedroom setup as I have my play station hooked up as well 0 using the audio jack to connect to speakers, makes an awesome home cinema experience ! :)

Nice simple setup and solid presentation . Here's my audio recommendation which should cost less than the projector and upgrade your sound but keep expectation bias realistic . Grab a pair of Gentec Bluetooth speakers from Amazon ( full disclosure I don't own and haven't heard them ) , 1 bluetooth transmitter adapter 1 bluetooth receiver adapter , 1 3.5 mm y cable ( 2 female 1 male ) and a 3.5mm (male on both ends ) cable long enough to stretch from one end of the dresser to the other . The connections are simple plus you'll have a couple of less than 20 each portable speakers . Good luck

Dude your doing it all wrong, you should move your bed about 1ft from the wall then mount the projector to back of the head board so you can project on to ceiling ! trust me you'll thank me later. Its much comfortable laying flat on your back and lookng straight up. You'll never want to watch TV from the sofa again anyways that's how l have it set up and it works for me.

Love it, we also watch movies/netflix on a 100 dollar beamer at night, very cool! I plugged in a bluetooth speaker with a 3.5 plug audio cable, because the beamer has terrible sound commin out of it ;) I have Google Chrome plugged into the hdmi, now we can watch everything on the beamer with only our phone.

I would rather invest in a used few year old dlp projector. I have a Acer k11 that has led 30k lamp life and it looks brighter than that and I'm pretty sure the contrast is far better too as most dlp have richer colours.

Projector is 11 feet away from the wall. Picture is about 100 inches across the way I have it set up. About 7 feet tall as well. Not exact measurements because it’s hard to do it by myself, but that’s an estimate 👍🏻

I have a Fugetek 857. Its an actual budget, actual 720P projector that I'm just shy of about a year from owning now. Best 102$ spent. The projector that was showcased in the video was really a 480P projector, and I know for a fact that my 857 can be projected on to the ceiling, because I move it to my bedroom to do that when I get sick then change the orientation. I'm never buying a tv for the living room again.
