Five years ago I was going through a messy divorce. These videos gave me comfort and helped me create a space for myself on a budget. I kept thinking how amazing it would be to meet someone as loving and kind as Joey is to Kate, but was pessimistic. Funny enough, a few months later, I met a guy named Joe and we clicked. He was the most kind, creative person. Always respectful, no fights, and embraced my quirkiness. Fast forward, We are now married and he is making all my design visions come true in our new house. I LOVE the chemistry between Kate and Joey. Joey is such a guy. He is effortlessly sexy, adorable and often pretty clueless and sometimes he has this look on his face when Kate has some sudden inspiration hitting her and she is talking a mile a minute like: 'wait a minute, is that a good idea? but better not open my mouth.' And he just goes along and follow Kate's lead and the end result is so beautiful. Kate is on the other hand vibrant, occasionally irreverent, aggressively empathetic (sometimes I really think she is telepathic, the way she just relates to people she has just met) and undoubtedly brilliant. She is kind of a woman who cannot be put into a box and labelled neatly and Joey complements her so well. I wish the couple all the best and hope they remain like this forever...

I have an 800 square foot apartment that I redecorated for under $2k. I love the thrift store. You find things you would never find at high end stores and for dirt cheep. I love what you did to the coffee table. I did something similar to an old wooden bench. When I moved into my apartment the landlord left an a piece of counter top that he was going to throw away. I had the idea of gluing it to the bench and making a coffee table out of it. I covered the top with some printed paper and and gave it a gloss finish. I've had it for 10 years and it still looks great.
