I often hear about how fast or aggressive a racing shoe feels, as if that is a reason to pick it. Especially at the marathon distance, for runners who aren't going to be dialed in to great form for the whole distance, a shoe that feels aggressive for a few miles of tempo in training could be a disaster in the race. Also, a shoe that feels less aggressive could be a really great match for your biomechanics (hence why it feels so easy to run in) and actually be the faster shoe for you over the distance. The only way I can think to sort this out is to do race paced long runs and pay attention to HR, perceived effort, and how well you're able to maintain pace and keep your form in later stages.

what do you think for a marathon? weight 68 kg sub 3h soft medium or hard midsole? difference with Adidas adios pro 3 that I currently use...

This shoe (VE2) might have contributed to your calf issues. The drop is reportedly very low. Like 1.5-2mm drop.

Good video Fordy but I question the price of these shoes if you're suggesting they're only good for training for a race, and then I should get a better shoes for the actual race. Would I be better getting something like a Boston 12/Puma DN2 as the trainer, even if they're not quite as impressive? Or something else
