Great standard of workmanship by you guys keep putting out videos they are very helpful for young sparks and old timers like me on the new innovations that are coming into the industry good luck

How do you overcome problem with multiple solenoids on one zone and only 1 terminal to connect into in wiring centre?
@ARElectrics Жыл бұрын
Some double up on the actuator terminals but I'm not keen on that idea as you never know if you could overload the circuit board. So when it's more than the 2 actuators from 1 thermostat I link the SL across the other zones. Hope this answers your question.

Thanks. Only reason is I’ve had 9 actuators today. 3 in one zone and 6 in the other. So had no chance to get 6 into the small green connector block. Had you use 6 way wago and send fly lead up to wiring centre. Hopefully that’s ok?!

Have you got an 8 zone wiring Centre? Each zone is able to have 2 actuators on each. You got 9 so theoretically you should be able to get them all in the wiring centre. Link the SL across then to another set of 1 or 2 actuators. I'm always doing these happy to share a picture of video of what I have done if needed.

Hi. The one my boss has given is only a 4 zone one! 😂. If you don’t mind sharing a pic or video that would be great please

Why didn’t you have to get a cable from the boiler to the manifold mate?
@ARElectrics2 жыл бұрын
The boiler was only keeping the tank upto temperature. The underfloor heating manifold would just turn on the pump to circulate the water through the tank exchange to heat the water in the pipes for the underfloor heating. Hope that makes sense. Basically a similar setup to what an ASHP would do.

what cables needed for central heating other than the 2.5mm for water heater
@ARElectrics4 жыл бұрын
The water heater is separate to the heating system as this is a back up supply to the boiler. The types of cables used vary on what it is being used for and will be different in each install. We used control cables (yy) between thermostats and valves. HR flex for flexing into any equipment ie pump, boiler etc Twin and earth supply to spur for heating system.

A & R Electrics where does the twin brown go from to the boiler
@ARElectrics4 жыл бұрын
Twin brown? Would that be the thermostat cables your on about? I couldn't say.

those under floor heating boxes are rubbish, they have no earth terminals for the stats and theres no space in them, they must be cheap because thats all the plumbers seem to give me, although my mate did give me a heat meiser one, they are good loads of space and earth terminals for each stat. Plumber did a nice job of the pipes to the boiler, slightly pissed or he was.

Unfortunately we can only use what we get given. The UFH box did have a 2 terminal block in the centre (which I didn't notice until the end) for the earth cables, however being an 8 zone unit you would expect there to be more than 2! I used the terminal block to terminate the incoming earth cable and put a link to a WAGO connector for the stats.

@@ARElectrics yeah they only have a couple of terminals for the earths never enough though
