I'm quite a new viewer of yours, since the first "Four Ways" challenge. Learning from Mr. Raffan has easily doubled my skill. Seeing your similar style, with your uniqueness, is excellent and has shown me even more. I want to learn. There are enough Maple bowl videos without commentary. I want to learn from you and others who know their craft. I'll add, I'd enjoy seeing more spindle work. Carl, Sam and Billy Burt are the three capable spindle turners I can think of and I think there is a hunger for more. :)

If you decide to do the beginners series, here are some things I would like to see. First, I see you and Rafan make small adjustments to the height of your tool rest. What are you thinking when you do that. Another question is how do you tell if your tools are dull versus poor tool presentation such as angle or tool rest height. By the way I really liked your scraper series.

Tomoslav: I’m very interested in your beginner series. I think I’m an advanced beginner but need some more help. Something I’d like to see is a how-to on making beads and coves on cross grain/faceplate grain orientation. I’ve been told by local club instructor the normal spindle gouge methods still apply but I’m thinking he may be wrong there. Do you have any videos covering that yet?
