surprised to see so many mentions of paper towns, a film that feels so stretched out and thinly veiled compared to this trailer (by that im comparing the whole film’s placement to just this trailer). this doesn’t feel like paper towns, the concepts are only slightly similar (spends one night with a girl, spends next few days tracking her down) but it just doesn’t have that sort of feel to it. im no film connoisseur, but something tells me under the silver lake will be much greater than that of some mild teenage adventure film

They're probably comparing it to the book. The book was B-C grade and movie D grade. And this does look good. However the concept of finding a girl who has left clues is the same (though no idea is original anymore, and its much better than a lot of the shit in hollywood currently)
