I'm so glad I turned on to this this morning with my coffee tea and sweet treat from our local bakery. Life has hit our family hard with much grief in death and in life. I find joy in nature and being present. As I fell fast asleep peaceful, i thank you. While you were pressing the flowers, I thought of the French perfumery practice of enfleurage. It was invented in Grasse, France in 1750. Fresh, very fragrant flowers such as roses, peonies, and lilacs are placed upon a pane of glass that has been smeared with a fat and then pressed between another pane of glass and weighted down. In the past, lard or tallow were used, but now more neutral fats such as shea butter or coconut oil are used instead. The flowers infuse the fat with their fragrances creating pomades. Maybe this would be a good segment for you.
