Thanks Jeanine! I thought I was was quite swollen. Haha. Recovery was challenging for the first few days. But around day 4-5, things started to get better. Stay tuned for my week 1 recovery video! Thanks for the support Jeanine! :)

Thank you so much for these vlogs! I'm having pretty much the same kind of double jaw surgery next month, and these really help! would you say you were groggy/foggy coming out of surgery? like were you able to retain the nurse's instructions and tips, or did you rely on the person with you at the hospital to pay attention? Makes me nervous to be out of it haha

This is great James, appreciate these videos. I'm at the point in your first VLOG video for the same kind of underbite. How does the bite itself feel? Does it feel good or weird or horrible? Its hard for me to imagine what not having an underbite would feel like.
@jameslsong12 жыл бұрын
Hi nemoinslumber, my bite feels weird at this time as my mouth is still very numb and I haven't been able to chew my food yet. I am still adjusting to it - my whole life, I was just so use to an underbite and now I am learning how to bite with a proper bite. I was just given some jaw exercises to help with the mobility. I will make a separate video in the future once I am able to chew my food (hopefully in the next few weeks). I remember starting this journey back in mid 2020 and making my first video about it. This journey is a long one as it can be tough at time. Thanks for reaching out. Feel free to reach out if you need anything. :)

Amazing video I’m deciding on my f I should get my surgery but I’m kind of scared . What age did you do the procedure ?
@jameslsong12 жыл бұрын
Hi Andy, I got my surgery done in my 30s. I’ve seen people get this surgery done in their 40s, 50s, and even 60s. You will be fine as your jaw stopped growing in your early twenties. Hope that helps!

Hey bro, I’m getting this same surgery in august. I’m still in school and I’m getting the surgery two weeks before school starts. How hard was it to talk after the surgery? Also thanks for documenting your journey, it’s really helped put my mind at ease about this procedure
@jameslsong12 жыл бұрын
Hi Najic, it was pretty tough to talk as seen in my earlier videos. You can see when my talking gets better though. Best of luck man!

Hi James, did you do jaw surgery with Kevin Lung ? I’m looking forward to see him soon.
@jameslsong12 жыл бұрын
Yes, Dr. Lung is IMO, one of the best in his craft. He is an amazing surgeon! He's well experienced, having done over 4,000 surgeries. He doesn't beat around the bush, he will tell you as it is. You will be in great hands! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Do u feel painful? How is ur sleep?
@jameslsong12 жыл бұрын
Hi Hang Hang, it was a little painful for the first couple of days but the medications helped. Sleeping has been tough, only getting about 2-3 hours a night. Taking naps during the day helps. :)
