JAmes your so lucky 2 years already. I am in my 4th week. What a terrible experience! Still feel terrible. Am 38 years old, had class 3. Nose seems messed up and what not. You look amazing at 4 weeks. Anyways mate all the best. What jaw exercise video would you recommendd by the way? My Surgeon didnt put alot of emphasis there and it sounds good and makes sense..

Hi, this video helped me a lot to understand the recovery process. I am now one moth post-op and sometimes I feel like it takes forever to recover haha. I have difficulties with talking, eating which I think I am bit slow in progress but when seeing this video I feel like I’m doing it right and my progress is quite impressive. Hello! 12 days post op here! I only had my top jaw operated on. So thankfully I didnt need a splint or to be really banded shut. I just have 3 rubber bands. I have to say sleeping is still hard. For me it was all of the DROOL and congestion. It is very emotional and people really have no clue until you live it 😢. This is the hardest thing I have ever done. Honestly may be harder than a c section😅. Mostly because at least after the C section, I had my baby to distract me and he was so worth it. But with jaw surgery theres so many highs and lows. Swelling goes up and down. Theres pain then no pain. You think your nose is finally shaping up and then the next day its big again....Your videos give me hope. And I feel like I am listening to someone that DOES understand. Thanks for posting! You look great!

also - pro tip - bring your own nasal spray for after the surgery. You will be draining blood, your nose will be plugged and hosiptals are busy so getting a spray can take hours of discomfort. if you can have your own, its a blessing and worth it so you can breath out of your nose. I went from being a mouth breather to a nose breather overnight so it was a real shocker to have a plugged nose and wait 6 hours for spray from the busy hospital. bring your own!

I did double jaw almost a year ago, my bottom lip is still a bit numb, braces come off in 3 weeks. It was a long haul, very little pain but getting used to the new bit took a long time. Glad I did it, I can finally smile in the mirror without cringing after a lifetime of avoiding it

Hi, I am looking into this now. Did insurance cover any of the braces due to it being medically necessary? I think you said a portion. Also did you have to pay out of pocket for the surgical splint? I was quoted about $9,500 for braces not including the splint. That was quoted around 6K, unsure if those are typical prices. Thank you!

Hi James.I had surgery and just started at week 8. My left side is much bigger and more round than the right side. I am swelling, still left side litle bit, and right is normal. On the left side, when I feel by finge r is like I fee bone and yes there is litle bit swelling too. Hope that it's okay that I ask, did your bones change at the time that passed by and get more fit to face? Coz I see in week 8 big difference between left and right side. Regards from Denmark. .

Needed this video James. My surgery is awaiting to be rescheduled due to insurance issues….was one of the worst feelings hearing that news and a few days prior to the surgical date even. Makes me feel better that I’m not the only one who was or is in the waiting game.
