Man, if you want to have a career in the Hospitality Industry, all ya need is to get your foot in the door and stay focused and willing to learn. Most places anymore will even pay your way through school as long as you give back the favor with honesty. But anyway, thanks again Ivan, that was a nice gesture. P.S. @@chriskowalski7038 it depends on which generation you are referring to and what industry they were in. Government workers in Canada, for example, tend to retire at 53. The self-employed, by contrast, tend not to retire ever. Then there's the inbetweeners that are neither self-employed nor government workers...read...the majority. They tend to get the worst deal. They often come out of retirement. They are more likely to end up unemployed and more often. Further, as a result of the aforementioned, they have the biggest difficulties with saving for retirement. For the largest class of workers, education has a near invisible impact. There are only so many executive and management positions available in a country with 38 million people. Please wear gloves when preparing or working with food and make sure your employees throw away their gloves when they go to the bathroom as gloves can be lifesavers or health hazards- One health inspector told me that customers have a false sense of security when they see a kitchen worker/cook/prep worker wearing gloves but that person if he/she goes to the bathroom and doesn't change their gloves then its all a waste.
@barbaraarmy39747 жыл бұрын
So true. I've watched people not change their gloves and if someone is a vegitarian or have allergies and they are touching everything over and over it causes cross contamination too
@Buddhistsocialist6 жыл бұрын
BartelDoo no you always need gloves who’s letting you around food.
@samm74966 жыл бұрын
Gloves are useless if not paired with proper hand washing. Some times it’s necessary to wear gloves in food handling are if the person has long nails (which they shouldn’t) because it’s hard to clean them properly or if the person has a cut. Otherwise, as long as hands are washed and sanitized, they shouldn’t be necessary.

I worked in a toxic environment for many years, everyone was so unprofessional in an atmosphere where we were all educated professionals with skills in that field. There was only one person at work, I would hang out with, still to this day, and he got me fired. It was the best thing that ever happened to me.I never lose sleep over my new job! The company closed down a few years later, I ended up with an awesome new job, almost double the pay, and my buddy got a minimum wage job. We still plat tennis together, I buy the balls, cause he's poor!
