Right on, I lived in Hamilton for 20 years, there’s a long, long history of crime there. Hamilton’s geographical location makes it a key point for transport / logistics and trade, plus the amount of industry and shipping contribute to it as well

Mississauga was terrible with the mob stealing trailers. They stole a $1 million load of Revlon from us back in the ‘90s.

Yep, Hamilton is a major hub for the italian mob. As a young guy, about 16 years old I decided to move to Hamilton (bottom of "the hill"). And let me tell you, walking down the street was like taking a scene out of "The Soprano's", where you'd have a deli with a few mobsters just sitting out front, shooting the gab. Nice guys though, to tell you the truth if you didn't know, you'd never know they were mobbed up - but that's just how it's supposed to be, isn't it?

What seriously makes me laugh, is people have no clue how big the "mafia" or "mob" or better yet, "organized crime" is up here. The fact we have no RICO laws make it the wild west for these guys! They be raking in the money and when they get pinched it's house arrest for 6 months, 2 year jail sentence at a Northern Country CLub, shit like that.. lmao it's hillarious!

Mr. Manning is a solid individual, he was wronged by the Hamilton Police Service when he should've been protected better then he was. I met him at station#20 when he was just finishing up his recruit in-service training, I was working with Hamilton's Crowd Management unit, now known as The Public Order Unit. We were loading up our gear heading to Caribana to assist Toronto and the other agencies in the area to assist with monitoring the crowd and responding to calls for service at Caribana if needed. I didn't see him until a year and a bit later, when me, my partner (who was later arrested, charged and fired during that big steroid raid that involved multiple province wide agencies executing search warrants, and the goof I rode with informed suspects of the upcoming raids), and another shitty cop who should've also never been allowed to wear the uniform bumped into Mr. Manning coming out of the back of The Sandbar. I was still fairly new at the time, and let them take the lead. I didn't expect what was going to happen next. But they ended up threatening Manning with physic violence. Keep in mind I only had the pleasure of meeting Manning a year and a bit before. After he finished training, he was put into an undercover post. So when I saw him again he had a shaggy beard and long hair. As the two gear shifts I was with was saying they were going to thump, he called someone on his cell phone, and said Gary tell these guys to fuck off. That's when it clicked where I knew him from. As I said I know him, dispatch came over the air and told us to clear. I again said I knew him, and they both turned and tried to get aggressive with me and said why the fuck didn't you open your mouth and say something. I retorted why the fuck were you gonna beat the shit out of someone walking out a door, yeah Sandbar was a crack den, Wheels from degrassi high died there. I then grabbed my shit from the cruiser, and walked back to central station as it was adjacent to the parking lot of The Sand bar on King St., and Central is located on King William. Anyways as I was walking back to Central thru the parking lot, three men exited a minivan and called me by name. The Supervisor of the team had worked with my father as my Dad had been a Constable with hamilton for 31yrs. The supervisor asked me wtf happened, and I told him what was said. I then went back to the station and saw the s/sgt who was a complete fuckface and a dickhead who had partnered me with my partner that shift kind of like a punishment, he asked me how my night was, and I told him it sucked and I was going home. There are a lot of decent cops in Hamilton, who do the job for the right reasons, and there is a little herd of pieces of shit who I wouldn't leave a quarter or my dog with. Manning was an asset and he did make a difference, somebody didn't like the fact he was good at his job, and he deserved so much fucking better. I hope he is well, and I wish him the best.

Canadians are boring ...coming from a Hamiltonian/Niagara Guy who was born in Northern Ontario... He didn't mean it is a slight - he was more referring to our relatively small population and minimal violent crimes and gun violence from the perspective of a law enforcement guy who has seen several different western nations...the guy lives in Florida for Christ's sake - there's a school sh00ting every other month and over 10x the number of murd3rs...though, homicides and gun-vi0lence are on the rise like crazy in Canada these days

You guys didn't have a clue. 'Tony the Butcher' was suspicious and of course Lou Malone had been warned off there was a UC working the street, which is why the HA stopped doing business with me, but even he wasn't sure it was me until he saw me in uniform years later. I'll give you an example. When you were renting out your apartment for bangers to cook up crack, for $50 a day...the police wanted to hit your place with a warrant. I stopped it, because you were more useful out than in...and I actually like you. I'd be happy to get together if Im ever back in town. Hmmm... Haven't watched most of the vid yet... But obviously, if he said that (and I'll take your word for it), savvy street guys are gonna know, right away, he's not legit In the movie, 'Up and Smoke' (Yeah, I'm that old), Tommy Chong's character put it bluntly, 'Seeds, they can't bust you for seeds man.' xxx For the record, I'm from 'The Hammer'... The Sandbar... Railway Street... Cavel Street... The Aquarium Restaurant... Mario's Inferno, in Winona (Where they held, 'The Miss Nude World Pageant', back in the day)... That Wine-making supply shop, on Cannon, that's been in the news, more recently, and therefore shall remain nameless... There was also a place on Wentworth and Main, it's a Pita Place now, but back in the day... word is, the High Rollers Rolled... And the Cop's were in on it... xxx Hells Bells... I remember a place, in downtown Hamilton, called the Golden Cue... Where they used to play snooker, after hours, for $1,000 a game... Big bucks back in the Seventies... I was friends with one of the principal players (Not gonna mention his name)... World Class Men's Snooker Champ Cliff Thorburn (He of the 'Maximum Break' kzbin.info/www/bejne/hnaTn5JtnsSJgqc&pp=ygUYY2xpZmYgdGhvcmJ1cm4gMTQ3IGJyZWFr ) would make an appearance there, every now and again... Two of the world's very best female snooker players were regulars... One was the owner's daughter, and the other was a, shall we say, Big Boned gal named Sue... One was a former Canadian Women's Snooker Champ... The other was a former Women's World Snooker Champ... although I forget which was which... xxx 'This Thing (of Ours)...' is Not just an Italian thing... In the Golden Horseshoe, in particular, It's also a Portuguese thing, a Spanish thing... A Brantford Six Nations' Reserve and Ojibway, New Credit thing... A Fort Erie, St Kitt's, and Niagara Falls thing... An 'On the Waterfront' thing Organized Crime controls the docks, all along the entire Eastern Seaboard... Always have, insofar as I know... And that's why they have convenient terms like, 'Misdirected Freight'... What "Misdirected Freight' really means is... Even if you're a huge multi-national corporation (Big Corporations are Organized Crime, Ditto Privatized Central Banks - THE WORLD'S BIGGEST CRIME SYNDICATE)... 'YOU STILL HAVE TO GIVE US OUR CUT'... cause the Longshoremen, etcetera, are ALL OUR BOYS... Ergo, 'We Control the Docks' xxx Don't know about nowadays... But, back in the day, they put govt seals on the back of certain , designated, transport truck trailers... allowing truckers to drive across the Canada/US border without having their contents checked by Custom's agents .... Thing is, 'Those' Truckers knew (Trust Me) how to get at the most lucrative contents of their rigs WITHOUT Breaking those Govt Seals.. Pretty much a full-proof way, back in the day, for 'Misdirected Freight' to wind up in ... 'The RIGHT HANDS' (wink, wink) My understanding is that, various goods, electronics etc..., that went into one data base as 'Misdirected Freight' ... wouldn't appear, via their serial number, on any data base as 'stolen'... but came out as legit, and would even be honored with a manufacturer's warranty... Clearly, the manufacturers and those in control of the docks had a separate deal worked out, as was often the case with alcohol and tobacco, cutting out The Tax Man xxx In the words of the great Forest Gump: 'That's ALL I have to say about that...' PEACE OUT
