Undercover Scrabble Champion returns!

After a long hiatus, Undercover Mack is back in the Mondaily online blitz Scrabble tournament! This time, it's an identity swap with Mack's friend and expert player Kevin Burbridge. Will Kevin's account bring Mack good luck? Will people suspect something is up? There's only one way to find out!

I did have my suspicions after I saw undercover Kevin going 2-3! Kevin has won the Mondaily before, so it would have been fun if he had done well too, but alas, it was not to be. Another note is that people seem to be catching on to the Mondaily crashing now, and some of them are taking issue with it. To that, I say: keep the content rolling!

That AQUAE turn in game 4 was so confusing. I was wondering why you didn't play the vulgar Q word in the same spot that reaches the double, only to find out that's not a word. I'm guessing it was one of the words that was removed since I can't really imagine it was never good.

Since you mentioned the importance of spread, I wonder whether you would intentionally play a risky, open board with triple-triple openings against a weaker opponent. To try to get more spread. I've seen a few occasions where you give a bit too much credit to an unknown opponent, such as assuming they might play an obscure bingo. No offense to them (they're probably still better than me), but your opponent in Game 4 was clearly not an expert since they used mostly common words and missed some spots.

That's not a bad idea at all, though unknown opponents can be very unpredictable in my experience -- I've seen them start off by tanking then all of the sudden they play 2 high-scoring bingos in a row

Interesting idea! Definitely worth considering, but I don't think it's quite worth it since she plays through the I in IDIOT fairly often, and then I've given up 16 points and I'm still stuck dealing with this V that's a real nuisance

Hikaru plays on new accounts all the time. And wasn't there a famous incident where Magnus played on his friend's account and destroyed ppl. Turns out: people don't care if you're popular.

As a person who did significant work on ratings systems, I don't like the idea of people doing things that degrade their accuracy, making displayed ratings less accurate and meaningful.
