Just one part of the discussion, we Africans have our own issues that make us blind and so we like it and applaud when someone tells us it never was our fault. Asians opened their eyes and never bought the bs being sold by the West, Africans bought it and signed an agreement post Independence called the Lome Convention to boot. This convention signed freely tied them to raw material trade. Then whatever Industrialization they did was import substitution meaning replacement Industrialization not add value to our raw material Industrialization for export. It all started 400years ago when we sold ourselves freely and did not want to stop the trade until abolition was imposed on African chiefs.

I'm African, born bred and raised my entire life. I've lived in different areas and had the privilege to live in and visit other African states. Yes we need to stop getting aid, yes we need to revitalize the manufacturing industry, yes to all these things. But the issue of corruption is such a huge problem, and the fact that it's not only propagated by leaders but the populace too... Trust me, no amount of revolution will fix things here until people fix themselves. You can have the best systems and plans in the world, but you put corrupt people to run those systems, and equally corrupt people to use those systems, they're gonna fail, 100%. If the "West" or "First World's" sin was greed, and wanting to plunder the "third world", then our sin has surely been greed as well, and the love of money, but we steal from each other instead. Both our leaders and your leaders are complicit in all of this because they all benefit. The common person is not going to go out and protest cause no one is about to get killed over that. We'll, I'll speak for myself, I'm not about to- it's not worth it.
