YASSS! What a fucking fantastic watch, thank you guys for completely slaying this one! I love how much you guys love football. ♥ "We're talking about NFL history, Josh, watch this throw." There are few things more beautiful in this world than a top-shelf pro athlete and his team executing and performing at the absolute maximum level. It's like witnessing the finest, rarest art to see CJ Stroud look like peak Aaron Rodgers 8 games into his career in one of the flat-out greatest performances I've ever watched in any sport in my entire life. And this is just the Texans' side of things! Thanks again, fellas, you really captured the moment and conveyed the wonder and awe I felt on Sunday, it was great to relive it! I'm not even a Texans or Bucs fan, but I got as hyped as if it was a film review of 2023 Brand New Lions. I do, however, have me a mancrush on Stroud ever since what he did to Georgia in December, lol. As such, I had been targeting CJ specifically in a 12-owner competitive redraft league that I've been running for 20 years in which the superflex spot *must be filled by a rookie * (as defined as any player QB/RB/WR/TE that has not played in an NFL game prior to this season per ESPN player card Stats page). I respect how hard it is to really know how good a college player will be at the pro level, so I'm not claiming that I knew he would be this fucking great right out of the box. So I'm of course just ecstatic on several levels that I got him and that he is him. It's been an even more awesome story to follow considering the state of that franchise before this season, Ryans returning as the coach, PFF analytics guy Slowik at OC, the state of the OL and a set of skill guys that scared nobody back in early September. As a Lions fan watching our story of rags to riches unfold, I'm all-too happy to make room in my life to follow this one at the same time. Houston and Detroit both are witnessing, IMO, some of the greatest stories to unfold in NFL history - and it's so damn beautiful. All of that is to say, thank you guys for loving football as much as I do and doing great work like this to detail and provide context to CJ and the Texans' truly all-time-great performance on Sunday.

Watched every game when CJ was at Ohio State. He started slowly with lots of mistakes, but he visibly improved every game. His bkgd coaching defense is a huge asset. The way he coaches the offense is these are the ways the defense will react. These are our counters. CJ takes it upon himself to learn all the counters--"the answers" in every play. Slowik coached him up, but the amount of knowledge he absorbed since rookie mini-camp is due to his work ethic.

I truly do not know how Carolina would've drafted Bryce Young over CJ Stroud given the physical differences alone which is VITAL for the quarterback position, given that perhaps Drew Brees was the ONLY "short qb" in NFL history at 6ft to truly become an elite QB and Young is merely 5'10" & further how impressive CJ performed in the playoffs vs Georgia last year... I know for sure the Panthers will regret this for years to come ESPECIALLY given the fact they gave up so much to move up to #1 :-///

If C.J. had gone the 'right' way, the rusher would've been closer to him AND the Brown would've had less time to get downfield. Slowik was kind of vanilla in the first two games, then CJ asked to be turned losse and everything changed.

I just can’t understand if you saw him play at The Ohio State University you know but if you wasn’t sure you saw the Georgia game right? If so how did he slip to the second pick you had to ignore your own 👀 eyes😂
