Catalysts: A Conversation Series on Teaching
This is a monthly series of conversations with UofA teaching award winners on their trials and triumphs in teaching. Led by the award winners themselves, the series is meant to provide a forum for celebration, conversation and reflection about teaching practices. Everyone is welcome to come and learn from some of our best teachers.
Undergraduate research and creative activities are far more than a summer experience. Undergraduate research includes learning about the latest research in lectures, learning the "tools" of the discipline in labs and seminars, engaging with inquiry-based classes, and addressing real world problems in class projects. In this panel, instructors and students discuss the benefits of class-based undergraduate research as well as provide tips for developing and supporting engaging undergraduate research and creative activities experiences.
