UNDERGROUND C STOCK REMOVAL TO NORTHWOOD FOR SCRAP

A C stock train is seen passing through Baker Street and Croxley before returning to Northwood sidings for splitting and transporting by road to the breaker's yard. Two cars are also seen leaving Northwood Station on low loader and climbing the hill and passing Mount Vernon Hospital. The date is 2nd January 2013 and cars 5515, 5733 and 6515 are included

ALOT of C69 circle line trains are being scraped

Yuikina Samasika they operated on the Circle, Hammersmith and City and District line between Edgware Road and Wimbledon till they got taken over by S7 stock last year.

So did I. That looked like it was a lot of work to get the cars separated. Why didn't they use a shunting locomotive? They do that here in the US. Also they cut up the old cars on the premises here in Boston. Take a look at Bird's Eye view of Cabot Street MBTA yard in Boston. You can see plenty of old Red line cars ready for the scrapper's torch.
