I feel really sorry for that driver cause he seems like such a kind hearted man and people like him always pay for suiciders problems.

I lived on the Victoria line so I grew up using those trains- the old trains are the best! At least the bakerloo line has similar trains!

This is a fascinating look at life on the underground. The good...the bad...I've been fortunate to never witness a suicide attempt during my travels in subways in New York, Washington, DC, Boston or Toronto. I haven't seen any fights either!

I used to think that for older stock that when the parking brake was applied it was the train breathing a sigh of relief when I was a kid, lol

That kid must REALLY have wanted to die. Not hit by the train so he goes for the rail? That's commitment. And crying when he didn't die? No one's life should be that unbearable.

The old met trains were good for carrying luggage and the old victoria lne trains were so loveable!

@duaany15 The handle don’t have anything to do with suicide attempts. It’s a button or lever that the driver has to be holding down at all times or else the train goes into emergency. The theory is that if the driver dies or becomes incapacitated, their hand will release the button or lever so that the train can safely stop without an operator.

That's what i thought- i loved those trains , even though they were so loud! But they felt fast and braked sharply!

Somebody needs to make a facebok group to buy one. I read on wikipeadia there's one (opperational) used for cleaning trainning and a number stored...

@mrolegkorol12 жыл бұрын
yes so you let go of it when you see someone jump, not release, turn, press, brase and try not to hurt yourself while the things in emergency stop and you aint even sat properly so it is easier

In Japan the train companies charge the people/relatives of jumpers for lost revenue.
