Yes, Define the Great Line totally was their best album. I am not saying that because it was easy to pick as best album either. Every single album they ever came out with got increasingly better as if they could get any better! Their early sound was already perfected in such a way that none other can even come close to. Spencer and Aaron's voices were so distinct yet they never outshined one another. I don't know how they were able to do it, but well done. BTW this is my absolute favourite song by them. I breathed this song like everyday for years as a teenager. It is good to come back here and see that people are still posting! That's the legacy they had.

One of the most accomplished bands of their genre. I would consider Underoath one of thr pioneering bands of post-hardcore music. "They have received three Grammy nominations in 2007, 2010[6][7] and 2019 respectively[citation needed] and have recorded a live CD/DVD box set entitled Survive, Kaleidoscope, which was released on May 27, 2008. From late February to early May, the band recorded their sixth studio album entitled Lost in the Sound of Separation, which was released on September 2, 2008,[8] and peaked at number 8 on the Billboard 200." en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Underoath

This is the only "hardcore" band where I can't find someone that sounds exactly like them. For that reason alone they are amazing. This album still sounds better to me than their later ones lol. Just saw a 2016 interview featuring Aaron and Spencer and they say the drums were recorded in Atlanta Georgia, but the rest was recorded in Massachusetts in the dead of winter. That's part of the reason why the album sounds so dark? Being Southerners, they weren't used to that climate.
